Took some medium-fat meat. It was dryer than what I would have liked. Thing is, if I had taken fatty only, it would have been too much for me. Prepare to pay, unlike other smoked meat places, the plates do not include fries, coleslaw, pickle nor a drink (pop). All those are extras.
Commandé à emporter, nous avons absolument voulu tester Le sandwich est composé de 2 tranches de pain, un peu de moutarde puis très rempli de viande C'est sûrement le concept mais nous n'avons pas aimé( comme les frites huileuse & molles) C'est hyper lourd & fade
They have been around forever for a reason! The service was amazingly friendly & the food is always top notch! This is the must visit spot in Montreal!
This is a most try if you go to Montreal, a piece of history, smoked meats were awesome. Be sure & have a chat with your waiter & ask about the history behind this place, amazing, don't miss it!
You come for the experience- not to sit, chat & stay for a meal with friends. There is usually a line up from what I gather; we waited about 10 minutes before being seated. Seats are close quartered so you are likely sitting next to people you don't know- everyone keeps to themselves & comes to eat their food & leave so I didn't see an issue with this as it is apart of the "Schwart'z experience." My partner has always raved about Schwart'z as his family & him always go when they come to Montreal, this was my first time coming here & his hype lived up to the standards. We ordered 2 smoked meat sandwiches on rye with pickles on the side; DELICIOUS. My partner says they taste how he remembers them, as it's been a while since he had gone. You can tell when the orders go out as the place goes QUIET from everyone enjoying their food. Big fan & will definitely be back the next time I'm in Montreal!

What can I say, been coming here for years every time I come to Montreal. It's worth the waiting in line. The sandwiches are always amazing & so are the sides.
Ordered a smoke meat sandwich & steak. Both were amazing to share. Highly recommend the pickle as your side. Service was quick, & the guys were friendly. Didn't go at the busiest time so we got what I felt would be more of a local experience.
🛑 MUST TRY 🛑 if you're in Montreal & you're looking for a place to have a delicious & reasonably priced meal, you must eat here! Briana was our waitress & she was fantastic! She made our experience at this staple of Montreal's restaurants a great experience! A must try is the sandwich with a pickle & a black cherry drink.
