This place is an old time deli with delicious smoked meat. The chicken & steak was good as well. I was nervous about trying the smoke meat. But is was so good & the service was good. From the time I entered the deli to my leaving every employee made sure I was ok & taken care of. I heard this was the best smoke meat in Montréal & I have to agree based on my experience.

Stationnement compliqué, très mal organisé, les viandes fumées sont très secs mais avec bcp trop de gras! Le prix est exagéré & pas de trio de disponible? Hygiène laisse à désirer & pas moyen de s'assoire en intimité car la mentalité est de s'assoir là où il a de la place & c'est souvent avec des inconnus?
Food was amazing! Atmosphere was really nice too at night. I went with my girl & we came right on time before it was too packed. The smoked meat sandwich is so good ... it's a must try if you visit Montreal.

We call it pastrami in NYC but apart from the different name the smoke meats at Schwartz's is amazing. & you can get it with poutine! Schwartz's always has a line but it moves fast & is worth the wait. Love the classic diner atmosphere & no frills service. Enjoy sitting with strangers who share the common interest of delicious cured meats. Along with the smoked meats get half sour pickles, cole slaw & poutine. Must visit in Montreal.
Our hostess/ waitress was helpful & friendly as she hustled during this busy lunch hour. Poutine was great & the first bites of the smoked meat sandwich were amazing. Our party of four made conversation with a pair of brothers seated at our table & made for fun experience for all.
The smoked meat had me truly speechless!!! & the coleslaw was amazing!! Glad we listened to the server! It's worth it even if the line would be around the block! 100/10 & can't wait to go back!!

Delicious sandwich! It's kinda on the pricy side but we'll worth the treat. Sandwich is not big enough to share. We also had the coleslaw that was yummy but again pricy. There is street parking but hard to get a spot.
This was a really fun stop. The place hearkens to a different time & feel. A true Montreal deli with atmosphere in abundance. The food was good, but be prepared to pay for experience as much as your meal. A sandwich, pickle, & can of coke was just over $35 for one person. It was worth the price of admission, but I am not sure there is enough here to keep me coming back.
This is a place that you must attend if you are in Montreal. The service, staff & the atmosphere were all top notch excellent! The portions of food were amazing & this was the best smoked meat I had ever had. If you go, the dill pickle & the coleslaw & a Cott Cherry Cola is a must. I cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend!
The food is amazing, the atmosphere is telling you that you're going to get great food & the people! The character in that restaurant makes it more amazing.
