Yikes it smelled terrible as soon as you enter food is below average worse than supermarket deli meats why would some one in this day & age come & dine here? I got swayed by the reviews but pls people stay clear of this place it is really bad
It's tradition for us to stop by every time we're in Montreal & usually leaves us wanting more. This time we went in with high expectations & left wondering what was missing in our sandwiches. It was still a good sandwich but different in how we remembered it.
El local está algo retirado del circuito turístico y creo que está totalmente sobrevalorado. Hacer una cola de 20 minutos por un bocadillo que no está mal pero que pensaba que iba a estar increíblemente delicioso por lo que había leído previamente. El precio por dos bocadillos, dos refrescos y una poutine fueron casi 60 dólares.
Otra apreciación, solicité la contrasena del wifi y no la quisieron compartir. :-(
Honestamente, no volvería.

Food is okay. Meat was not as tender as everyone was saying. Flavour of the meat yes it was delicious, just the right amount of spices. Portion was a good amount. Try the pickels, they good. Server was busy & got our order wrong. First impression wasn't that good. Had a smoked meat sandwich somewhere else(SMP) the next day & the meat was perfectly tender there. Small dining area at Schwartzs im sure its crazy busy. Restrooms are tiny & dirty.

Ce n'était pas mauvais mais je ne comprends pas l'engouement pour cet endroit. Personnel pas très accueillant, ni agréable. C'était un peu sec & viande avec pas mal de gras.
Reasonable wait in line on a Thursday for lunch, staff very direct but polite, & for such a hotspot I thought the food was reasonably priced. #4 with cornichons was perfect.
Oh my gosh! It was a great experience! Like a travel to the old days
Highly recommend! It worth the time spending in the line, don't forget to get the pickles 🥒😜
