Really the spot for a fun night in mont royal, the food was muy Fuego & the atmosphere is so nice, dim lights good music & amazing staff, couldn't ask for better !! Also tip your bartenders & waitresses well cause they be working double time there, got my orders in a lickaty split. Highly recommendView more
I really enjoyed the food at Satu Lagi! All of the items we ordered were delicious.
Since we were two, they offered to add an extra skewer to each dish for an additional fee so we could each enjoy two skewers per plate, & we appreciated this. I will say though, the food is on the pricier side so just be prepared for that.
We tried 3 satay skewers, the chicken, beef, & shrimp. They were all delicious & flavorful. The chicken & beef were very moist while the shrimp was a little bit overcooked but the sauce was so good. My favorite dishes were the chicken satay (Ayam), beef satay (Daging) & the Chinese broccoli dish (Kailan Bakar).
I was really happy with my overall experience. The staff was friendly & attentive. We also got lucky to be seated right away without reservations but I would recommend that you make reservations as they did get very busy. I would definitely go back, especially to try their bunch menu!View more
Overall: 7.25/10
Food: 7.5/10
Service: 7/10
Atmosphere: 7/10
A nice brunch spot on Mont-Royal. Went there with some friends for brunch & we tried an assortment of the satay entrees & the mains. They also had bottomless mimosa for 30$, which we found to be very reasonable. Overall I would recommend trying it out for brunch
The stand outs were definitely the satay skewers, we especially liked the beef & the fish. As for the mains, the maple fried chicken was pretty good.
As for the service, it was alright throughout the meal, the food came out a bit slow instead of all together which led to some waiting.View more
Amazing dinner. The beef rendang threw me right back to my Yogyakarta trip, the fried mushroom dish was actual heaven, service was very attentive, & the decor is wonderful. I can only recommend, & look forward to coming again :)View more
While staying in Montreal we decided for try Satu Lagi for dinner. First off, our server Zachery was very attentive & gave us a full run down off the menu & suggested some apps & mains. My partner is celiac & majority of the options on the menu were fully gluten free. They also use separate fryers & make sure they can accommodate the best they can! For our apps we got Brussels sprouts, the fried chicken, fried mushrooms & chicken skewers . For our mains we got veggies & rice which were amazing. It was little sweet for my liking but over all good. If you're in Montreal & have a gluten allergy Satu Lagi if definitely worth trying out. Good for a date night but also for lunch. We didn't get any drinks but the bar seating & bar look fully stocked & the drinks looked great! Will definitely recommend this to friends who visit Montreal & need a dinner/lunch spot!View more
Good place to eat, the food was very good, vegetarians options & gluten free. Excellent service. Highly recommend.View more

Great indo/malaysian resto... not many of those in the city. Great food, great service highly recommendView more
Food is excellent, highly recommend! Service was not the best but worth the experience for the food - server didn't know the menu well & didn't get our order correct, but we still had a great meal. Some of the food did come out lukewarm but on a hot summer day this was fine for us.View more
Great service & lovely terrace & interior design. However the food, for the brunch menu, was slightly uninspiring. Flavours were good, however some items were a miss. The Kaya Toast & eggs was just a piece of toast with a sweet spread & a poached egg. I wouldn't recommend. Stays were definitely a hit.View more
the food is so unique & amazing! it's a wonderful & refreshing experience to try Indonesian/Malaysian cuisine that isn't as popular like other parts of Asia's culinary game. i highly recommend the sambals, beef rendang, fried fish, jackfruit stew, the fried chicken with fermented honey, pandan crême brûlée & the pandan drink is delightful! do be prepared as Indo/Malay cooking is spicyyy!!! otherwise, the chefs really have the flavour profile down - coconut, galangal, lime, chilis, tamarind, etc. the staff & service is always great too :)View more
Satu Lagi is not only tastes authentic, but also the chili in the store is absolutely so refreshing! Definitely a paradise for spicy lovers! The business during meal time is very busy,& the exotic flavor allows you to arrive in Indonesia in one second without having to go abroad. Each kind of chili sauce has a different flavor, so I recommend you try some of them, It's very mouth-watering when mixed with vegetables & rice, but it's really super spicy. The spiciness in Indonesia is mild at first, & it doesn't feel too spicy, even a little sweet, but after a while, the aftertaste will make people sweat...be careful! Rendang beef tastes a bit like curry beef. It can be said to be a super special dish in Indonesia, the beef is chunky & delicious. The fried duck legs are deep-fried until they are very, very crispy. It can be said that there is no gravy, but some of the fat & the duck skin taste particularly oily. It is delicious when paired with onion sauce & the turmeric rice!View more
Conveniently located in the heart of the Plateau, we discovered the restaurant via Instagram. We did not know a reservation was necessary for brunch, so we just showed up. The server was nice enough to offer us to sit at the bar which was fine since we got to see the barmaid do her magic with the exotic drinks. The food is good, however we did not expected it to be spicy... although we asked our server, our main dishes were too spicy. We recommend you either make sure you can handle very spicy food or request the kitchen to go easy on the hot peppers! Overall a nice experience & it is worth a detour if you don't mind spicy food.View more
The food was delicious, particularly the fried mushrooms, it was like a flavour explosion, so unique. Everything was really good, but I did think that for what it was, it was a bit pricey, compared to similar places I've been to. Still a unique & delightful dining experience I would highly recommend.View more
Without pretensions, From cocktails to desserts, It was the most exquisite culinary experience. Every single bite was more delectable than the next. The dished were packed with fresh ingredients, carefully crafted to make every bite heavenly. I cannot wait to return & i absolutely recommend this restaurant/experience!View more
Incredibly unique & tasty menu. We had a table of 5 & everything was shared. The plates were thoughtfully portioned for the 5 of us, & it was easy to pass around. The assorted sambal flight was a nice variety of flavours to test & to dip other satay or bites in. Ranged from spicy, to earthy, to slightly sweet. The fried mushrooms were fried to perfection, meaty & savoury. The satay had a nice char & super easy to eat. Scallop & calamari flavourful & clean. So much I could say. Service was also very friendly & accommodating of a rush we were in to head to a concert. Would highly recommend & I would be back in an instant when visiting Montreal.View more
I highly recommend Satu Lagi. The food & drinks are incredible & the service is impeccable. You won't regret it, trust me!View more
Just incredible. I was in heaven. Highly recommend the Jamur Jamur - perfectly crispy fried mushrooms, & the Gado Gado (best peanut sauce dish I've ever had). SO GOOD!View more
Great intimate atmosphere, & super delicious & unique dishes! Everything was so flavourful & really blew us away. Amanda our server was very knowledgeable about the menu & gave us great recommendations. It was a pleasure to be served by her. Definitely recommend this place! Especially loved that the entire menu is gluten free & lactose free!View more
Food was absolutely delicious. Had a wide variety of plates & all were flavorful. Highly recommend the calamari. Good heat! Staff is awesome, very friendly & bilingual! Definitely coming backView more
Fantastic food. Whilst it's not super authentic to Indonesian cuisine, it's the closest I've tried in Montreal. The rendang is fantastic & the satays are a classic. I recommend asking the staff to see what kind of drinks you'd prefer with the plates you end up sharing with your party.View more
The first impression of this restaurant when I went to visit. 100% gluten free food for my hubby. Very good services to recommend the menu for us in the first time. The taste of food is very very tasty 😋. The size of dishes are not too big & we can share. The price is reasonable. My favorite drink is non-alcoholic with pandan leaf & coconut that's also including my dessert. The atmosphere is very cool & nice 👍. We will come back to this restaurant often very sure. 💕View more
Yum! This place is great. Food was really good. I especially recommend the gai lan (Chinese broccoli) it was so good it gave me goosebumps! The beef rendang was also 11/10. Soooo good. The only dish I would skip is the fried mushrooms. They were too greesy & bitter from the turmeric. Otherwise, I definitely recommend everything.View more
Absolutely loved this restaurant & the experience. Great atmosphere, great service, most importantly excellent food. After returning from Bali earlier this year I've been craving Indonesian food but we lack restaurants that serve authentic Indonesian dishes & flavours. Sister brought me here as she thoroughly enjoyed dining here previously. Dishes I recommend: balado udang patai (that galangal 🤩), gado gado (kangkung was cooked perfectly), tempeh satay (they do tempeh well!), ayam goreng manis (wow chili honey), rendang daging (so flavourful).View more
