Came here & had an awesome experience! Sat at the bar with my partner, & we had an amazing experience chatting with the bartender, who made some delicious drinks for us, & the kohi was scrumptious! Also, ask for the umeshu, it is incredible.
The sake (salmon) sashimi was to die for, the best sashimi we've had (& were avid Japanese cuisine fans from Vancouver)
& the chicken nanban was also delicious!
Would come back, recommend the umeshu

We went as a group of four for dinner, drinks, & dancing & were blown away. Our server, Gray, was amazing & so much fun! We were given excellent recommendations on what to try from the food menu & our cocktails were fantastic. We were also given suggestions for wine & sake that paired nicely with our meal. After dinner, we stayed for the DJ & dancing & enjoyed the ambiance. A really lovely time made special by staff. We will be back, thank you/merci!!!

The food & service at Sans Soleil were both fantastic! Standout dishes were the tuna sashimi, udon noodles, duck breast & fried chicken. Service was attentive & friendly, cocktails were delicious & sake menu is extensive.

Great food, all the dishes were interesting & flavourful. Great drinks & sake as well, but service was a bit slow with what seems like just one person. I loved the atmosphere & DJ. Really great spot for dinner.

Sans Soleil has been on my to-visit list for a good while. I was pleased that I took the time to drop by - an absolute gem of a spot! Despite being located in a basement, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, & you can't help but feel transported to a different decade. They play records all the time, & although I didn't experience it, the space transforms into a vibrant dance club at night. The drinks were great (especially if you are into Saké or Japanese Whiskeys), & the service was fantastic… next time I'll have to give the food a try :) Highly recommend this spot if you are looking to enjoy some nice music in an intimate setting.

Excellente soirée d'anniversaire ! On y était un lundi & l'ambiance était au rendez-vous. Le menu à partager était copieux & diversifié, tout le monde a adoré ! Supers conseils de Andi pour les sakés & les plats à partager. Soirée mémorable & musique impeccable (tant pour le choix de chanson que pour le volume)! :-)

The food was to die for. Highly highly recommend this place. I can't speak to the dancing just yet because we didn't realize it started at 10, but we will definitely be back to eat & check it out.

I had the beef (melt in your mouth) & the yozu sake & also tried the chicken naname (I think that's how it spelled) & the duck & all were delicious.

A space for all the senses, sounds of the underground & supreme service. Sans Soleil has everything under the sun for true music lovers, artists, the heads, the curious, locals & visitors alike. Had a beautiful Saturday night sojourn here that began with an amazing meal. We had the Onsen Tamago (perfect egg in a truffle infused broth), Legume Ohitashi (vegetable of the day was eggplant), Albacore tuna tataki & the delicious fried chicken dish. The Yune cocktail was a yuzu-infused take on the negroni -divine! - & Sake Paloma was bright & refreshing. Service was excellent - super big shout out to Andie for their amazing hospitality, kindness & menu suggestions (the team here knows a lot!), & Alex at the bar for awesome libations. We tried the special soy ice cream dessert -umami, sweet, savoury goodness! Not enough photos, was too immersed in the experience. Stick around for dancing & top shelf tunes curated & spun by guest & resident selectors. As a DJ myself, I'd be a regular here if I lived in Montreal.

We were seated at the bar & had the wonderful company of the bartender. He was knowledgeable & had great recommendations for the saké. Very welcoming without being nosy. The food was excellent, we had the agedashi tofu & chirashi sushi. An authentic & elevated rendition of japanese cuisine. Great overall experience
