Lovely space with fantastic drinks & food. Obviously, this is a food town, so standards for are pretty high, but I love the idea of well-curated music matching or exceeding those standards. Check out Sans Soleil if you're looking to step up your usual'drinks & dinner' evening out.

Came here on a Saturday for dinner. The food was excellent & the service matched as well. It's a cozy, non pretentious vibe with quality dishes made of fresh ingredients. The Tuna Tataki was melt in your mouth delicious, the tartare was excellent with the rice & nori. Scallops cooked perfectly & the butter sauce was not too heavy. Also tried the fried chicken which was equally delicious, just to contrast the fish dishes. I didn't try any cocktails but they looked like well crafted drinks. I came back the next night (sunday) for the club night. The vibe was great, people are there for the music & dancing all night long. Its a small space & it gets hot, vinyl only DJ's. Its a great intimate spot if you prefer a small club over the large ones. (if you like lots of personal space this might not be for you, but the guests were overall respectful of the space). Definitely a positive experience during dinner on Saturday & club night on Sunday.

Came here & had an awesome experience! Sat at the bar with my partner, & we had an amazing experience chatting with the bartender, who made some delicious drinks for us, & the kohi was scrumptious! Also, ask for the umeshu, it is incredible.
The sake (salmon) sashimi was to die for, the best sashimi we've had (& were avid Japanese cuisine fans from Vancouver)
& the chicken nanban was also delicious!
Would come back, recommend the umeshu

I came here for a Ferias event, & it was absolutely incredible. It was an all vinyl house/disco/funk set. The venue is very intimate but not over crowded. The music was amazing & the cocktails were great as well. Gray & the other bartenders were friendly & there was rarely a wait for drinks. Highly recommend if you want a chill night of dancing.

We went as a group of four for dinner, drinks, & dancing & were blown away. Our server, Gray, was amazing & so much fun! We were given excellent recommendations on what to try from the food menu & our cocktails were fantastic. We were also given suggestions for wine & sake that paired nicely with our meal. After dinner, we stayed for the DJ & dancing & enjoyed the ambiance. A really lovely time made special by staff. We will be back, thank you/merci!!!

Great food, all the dishes were interesting & flavourful. Great drinks & sake as well, but service was a bit slow with what seems like just one person. I loved the atmosphere & DJ. Really great spot for dinner.

Sans Soleil has been on my to-visit list for a good while. I was pleased that I took the time to drop by - an absolute gem of a spot! Despite being located in a basement, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, & you can't help but feel transported to a different decade. They play records all the time, & although I didn't experience it, the space transforms into a vibrant dance club at night. The drinks were great (especially if you are into Saké or Japanese Whiskeys), & the service was fantastic… next time I'll have to give the food a try :) Highly recommend this spot if you are looking to enjoy some nice music in an intimate setting.

Sans Soliel.... phew where do I even begin. The ambiance was lively yet relaxed & made for one of the best outings I've had in a while! I suggest reserving a table with a few friends & working your way through their EXQUISITE food & drink offerings... the shashimi is a must! We had a very kind & knowledgeable server named Gray, who's presence was a welcome extension of the warmth Montreal has to offer even during such frigid temperatures. My experience would not have been the same without them! After 9:45 the space turned into a dance floor; PRO-V was the DJ the night we went & I loved the 90s hip-hop/ r&b vibes provided. Sans Soliel is definitely 10/10 & worth a visit!
