Love the ambiance, food & interactive game night on thursday's which you can win 50$ off you meal if you get all the answers right (trivia)
We went to Sahib craving for Indian food after a road trip through Quebec. Within 10 mins from the Montreal airport Sahib was the perfect stopover for us.
We were not in a rush but still got served on time & received generous service from the team.
We had Dal, Paneer, Paranthe, & a Lab Curry lunch thali. It was all delicious & we were well sorted for our evening flight out.
At a time where everything costs an arm & leg, being able to share a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere with friends without breaking the bank was great.
Very friendly place, prices are reasonable, food is good & naans to die for! I've been last year & it was average. This year it's way better. I guess there is another chef.
Taste of the food is anazing. Superb cozy ambience. Ramayana wall sculptures are amazing.
Only downside is that the quantity of all dishes is very very less. Hardly two people can eat. If a person is a good eater then whole dish for 1 person. Quantity is that less.
Superb positive is that staff is really very friendly & nicely trained.
Excellent food. Excellent staff. Had a great bday night there & have absolutely no complaints. 10/10
Went to Trivia Night - food was delicious from the special menu, loved the Goa Way cocktail & the service was fantastic! Love this restaurant!
We have been there before, & we had the same experience twice. Food is delicious, but the service is terrible.
The service people don't really care & don't make any effort (even the owner). Examples:
We found a bug in a plate (prior to the food being served, so it was obviously not from the kitchen)-the server's response. Oh.... I'll get you another plate, I guess. No issue, no trouble, it is what it is. & the plate never arrived; we asked her twice more, & she kept forgetting. It became a running gag.
Used plates were left on the table, despite our requests to multiple people, multiple times, to take them away. Even the owner showed up, asking how everything was, I asked if it would be possible to take the appetizer plates away (we were well into main course at this point). He said Sure, let me get you a server & just walked off. No one came...
He came back later, asking if we needed anything (the appetizer plates still on the table). We required more drinks (our server didn't check on us often...) He took two orders, & when the 3rd person asked for something, he said....... You guessed it, let me get you a server LOL. She came WAY WAY later. Again, a running gag during our evening
Anyway, we had a good time; make the best of it, right? & again, the food is fantastic! It just feels like, instead of hiring qualified people as servers, he hires family members who may not be best suited for that work.
We will most definitely order from them again, but probably for take-out rather than an in-dining experience. If I'm paying $480 for eight people (not bad for the quality of the food), I would still like better service than at La Belle Province, which is how we felt on both occasions
I hope this helped you :-)

Went to sahib's for brunch when we were visiting montreal & staying at a hotel nearby.
The food was good, the quantity, however, was less for the price. The ambiance was 10/10, too.
We ordered a mixed tandoori platter & dal makhni - I didn't like dal makhni much even though we were told it was the best seller. It was just average (better options available elsewhere).
The service, however, was too overwhelming. The lady server was too talkative & just used to come stand & talk at our table even when we had our mouths full. We wanted to enjoy our meal, & while its good to be asked if you need anything, etc, staff/servers should also be respectful & mindful of their personal spaces.
My kids were watching cartoons on the phone (toddler ages) because we wanted to enjoy a meal before we headed out to take them to a park or something, & she started inquiring about the screen time I give my kids, & that if I continue to do so they'll go deaf in the ears & mind & won't listen to me in the future when they grow up. She kept passing by & asking my toddler to quickly eat food (he is a toddler & can't calculate the severity of instructions) so he started stuffing too many pieces of naan in his mouth just out of anxiousness. The screen time advice, the standing on our table for longer times, & unnecessary remarks were uncalled for.
We were also told that what we get depends on the chef's mood (when we asked for tea). She said she has to check with the chef if he is in a mood to make tea.
I would, however, appreciate them giving us some 160ml of homo milk for my little one ( for which we also out of courtesy tipped them in the bill). regardless, we were grateful for that gesture.
The food was 7/10.
A crisp new bistro decor in which to enjoy what I've always believed to be the best Indian on the island.
Really enjoyed this new location, may well make it my primary for getting that Indian fix!
Food was excellent & good portion. Disappointed that last evening, the only menu option was the table d'hote. but other than that, great.
