Naan super light, fresh, & crispy. Rich sauces. Soft & juicy paneer - I'm sure it's homemade. Great atmosphere. Really friendly attentive service. Not in my neighborhood, but definitely going back.
I ordered from ubereats
1. Chicken tikka masala balti
2. Daal makhni
3. Naan
4. Tandoori Roti
Disappointment- The naan & roti were quite disappointing. Both were chewy, overly stretchy, & seemed partially undercooked around the edges, which made them difficult to eat even. The texture felt doughy instead of soft & fresh.
Pros: On the other hand, the chicken & daal were very well cooked & full of flavor. The chicken was tender, & the daal tasted fresh, rich, & comforting.
Overall : The Naan & tandoori roti ended up ruining the overall dining experience.
We had a very nice lunch of Dahl Mukhani & Okra Masala with garlic naan. Server (Mareesha?) was very friendly & food came quickly.
Very friendly place, prices are reasonable, food is good & naans to die for! I've been last year & it was average. This year it's way better. I guess there is another chef.
Went to sahib's for brunch when we were visiting montreal & staying at a hotel nearby.
The food was good, the quantity, however, was less for the price. The ambiance was 10/10, too.
We ordered a mixed tandoori platter & dal makhni - I didn't like dal makhni much even though we were told it was the best seller. It was just average (better options available elsewhere).
The service, however, was too overwhelming. The lady server was too talkative & just used to come stand & talk at our table even when we had our mouths full. We wanted to enjoy our meal, & while its good to be asked if you need anything, etc, staff/servers should also be respectful & mindful of their personal spaces.
My kids were watching cartoons on the phone (toddler ages) because we wanted to enjoy a meal before we headed out to take them to a park or something, & she started inquiring about the screen time I give my kids, & that if I continue to do so they'll go deaf in the ears & mind & won't listen to me in the future when they grow up. She kept passing by & asking my toddler to quickly eat food (he is a toddler & can't calculate the severity of instructions) so he started stuffing too many pieces of naan in his mouth just out of anxiousness. The screen time advice, the standing on our table for longer times, & unnecessary remarks were uncalled for.
We were also told that what we get depends on the chef's mood (when we asked for tea). She said she has to check with the chef if he is in a mood to make tea.
I would, however, appreciate them giving us some 160ml of homo milk for my little one ( for which we also out of courtesy tipped them in the bill). regardless, we were grateful for that gesture.
The food was 7/10.
Very polite owners, super good indian food! Sahi paneer & garlic naan was really good & great customer service!
Very fancy atmosphere, I can never get tired of their amazing food. I usually get the butter chicken with their amazing garlic naan. But their chili chicken chowrangi is also super delicious. Their lamb biryani is to die for, lamb isn't dry; cooked to perfection & the service is top tier. Shout out to all the waitresses including Rajiv the owner for always making me feel welcomed & big props to chef for making amazing food. Best Indian restaurant in dorval ! Never disappoints
Exceptional Indian cuisine & warm hospitality!
Sahib Indian Restaurant is an absolute gem in Montreal! From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with genuine warmth & a beautifully inviting atmosphere. The decor is elegant yet cozy, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.
The food is nothing short of outstanding. Every dish we ordered was full of bold, authentic flavors - perfectly spiced & cooked to perfection. The Paneer sabzi was incredibly creamy & flavorful, the veg biryani had the perfect kick, & the freshly baked naan was the ideal complement to every bite. Portions were generous, & the presentation was top-notch.
What truly sets Sahib apart is the exceptional service. The staff were friendly, attentive, & more than happy to offer recommendations based on our tastes. You can really feel the pride they take in both their food & hospitality. They need to improve a bit in making their Chai wonderful!
Whether you're a longtime fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Sahib delivers an experience that's both delicious & memorable. A must-visit in Montreal - we'll definitely be returning soon!
We ordered Butter chicken, Naan, rice & Onion Bhaji. The only good thing was the onion Bhaji. The butter chicken tasted like tomato soup. Just tomato sauce & cream. There was barely any Garam Masala or cumin in the flavour. The Naan was very hard to eat. Honestly wouldn't recommend for anyone that knows what butter chicken should taste like.
