I've been coming to Portugalia in Montreal for years, & the food is always incredible! Paolo went above & beyond, providing exceptional, attentive, & friendly service that made our visit truly memorable. If you want the best authentic Portuguese chicken cooked on charcoal, this is the place. I can't recommend it enough!

Craving a hefty, flavorful meat feast at a great price? Your search ends here! Meet the'Le Meat Monster' (CAD$19.99+) - a towering sandwich loaded with tender chicken, juicy beef, & savory lamb.
The hot sauce tried to steal the spotlight, but it cloaked the true flavor of the charcoal-grilled meats; I recommend skipping it.
The beef was a tad overcooked & a bit dry, but the chicken? Absolutely tender & delicious. Next time, I'm going all-in with an all-chicken version for sure!

I love this Portuguese restaurant that specializes in chicken. Great tasting chicken, fresh, well prepared & their'Supremo'
spicy sauce that comes with it, is delicious! Wonderful staff, great service & fast. I always take a whole chicken & ask for'spicy' chicken to go. Just the best! I Highly recommend.

J'ai récemment eu l'occasion de dîner au restaurant Portugalia sur Rachel, & je ne peux que le recommander vivement ! Le poulet savoureux qu'ils servent est tout simplement exceptionnel, avec des saveurs authentiques qui vous transportent directement au Portugal.
Les portions sont généreuses & la qualité des ingrédients est remarquable. Chaque bouchée est un véritable délice ! Le service est aussi très accueillant & chaleureux, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus agréable.
Si vous cherchez un bon repas dans une ambiance conviviale, ne cherchez plus & allez manger là-bas ! Vous ne serez pas déçu !👌👌👌👌

Forget the rest... This is easily the best Portuguese chicken in town. The Tony Supremo sandwich is straight elite. Great value & the owner is just a beauty with great hospitality skills.

It was really delicious.
We like the meat to be seared on the outside, & the staff were friendly, making the whole dining experience enjoyable. I think this might be the biggest tip I've ever left in Canada-around 35%-because I was that satisfied. Highly recommended!

Cool small sit down spot. This was the best choice, initially we wanted to eat at ma poulet but we did not want to wait on the long line. So glad we found this restaurant!
Ordered the Demi-demi with rice & salad & the classic poutine. Perfect for two persons & had left overs.
Meats were grilled with flavorful & opted for spicy. Would recommend eating here.

This place is fantastic. The chicken is so flavourful & authentic. They have the best sandwiches, I had the Tony Supremo & I was blown away. I even ordered 2 of them. I was served by Tony (one of the owners) & I have to say he's a fantastic person who makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend!

C'est intrigant de se rendre compte que les 3 meilleurs restaurants de poulet portugais sont tous sur la rue Rachel. & Portugalia, pour nous, c'est le meilleur. Poule Mouillée ou Romados sont très bons, mais Portugalia garde une coche de plus. Premièrement, leur menu est aussi varié que celui de Poule Mouillée. Du poulet au bifana (ie porc) à la poutine portugaise, Portugalia offre un menu centré sur ses spécialités de BBQ. Le restaurant avait autrefois une salle à manger, mais la pandémie a fait fermé celle-ci, c'est maintenant 100% en commandes pour apportez, il n'y a pas vraiment de places pour manger sur place. Service super sympathique, rapide comme un fast-food & dynamique. Les employés font l'ambiance & vous le découvrirez lors de votre visite. Portion généreuse. We ordered from Portugalia for our team gathering, & the food was absolutely AMAZING!!! Every dish was delicious, & our team couldn't stop raving about it. Despite the large order, everything was perfectly cooked & incredibly tasty. The service & delivery were top-notch, ensuring our big order arrived in perfect condition.
