I've been coming to Portugalia in Montreal for years, & the food is always incredible! Paolo went above & beyond, providing exceptional, attentive, & friendly service that made our visit truly memorable. If you want the best authentic Portuguese chicken cooked on charcoal, this is the place. I can't recommend it enough!

Trust me, you MUST try this place! The sandwich was amazing & the portions are so huge i couldn't finish my panini!! Super tasty & fresh, great charcoal flavour too, not too spicy but has the perfect kick!

The owner & the staff were very friendly, & they made us feel really welcome.

Great food & amazing vibes. Definitely coming back with my friends & family!

Craving a hefty, flavorful meat feast at a great price? Your search ends here! Meet the'Le Meat Monster' (CAD$19.99+) - a towering sandwich loaded with tender chicken, juicy beef, & savory lamb.

The hot sauce tried to steal the spotlight, but it cloaked the true flavor of the charcoal-grilled meats; I recommend skipping it.

The beef was a tad overcooked & a bit dry, but the chicken? Absolutely tender & delicious. Next time, I'm going all-in with an all-chicken version for sure!

I usually order a whole chicken to go & it was always delicious & not dry as it could become when cooking on a charcoal fire grill. I sat for the first in their restaurant & ordered ribs to try. It was just ok. The sides of potatoes (whole, dry on the outside & too oily) & rice were disappointing. I would suggest to stick to their chicken & fries which are fresh & tasty.

Had to wait a little for our order, but was definitely worth it in the end. The meat was great value for money & had a lovely charcoal flavour - I also really enjoyed their poutine! Hard to believe it was a mini size 😳

I have eaten at practically every Portugese chicken restaurant in Montreal, & I can say with confidence that Portugalia does it best. Their chicken is crispy, tender, & has the perfect amount of charcoal smokiness. The portions are generous & prices are reasonable as well.

One of the most authentic & friendly places to eat. Actual Portuguese chicken, made on charcoal which haves an almost-heaven taste. The owner is super friendly & explained the history of the place. 10/10, if you're in the area you must try it out!

Good chicken joints seemingly come & go in Montreal. Portugalia has been a long time favourite. Good quality birds & the charcoal grill is just perfect. Steak spice on the fries just works.

Je connais Portugalia depuis 4-5ans & je me dois de dire c'est l'un de mes restaurant préféré car ils font cuire sur un lit de charcoal! Je salive à penser ce que je vais écrire comme commentaire! Le plus drôle est que je n'ai jamais mangé à l'intérieur! J'ai toujours commandé & été le chercher.
Au travail on m'avait parlé de ce resto mais qu'il fallait commander 3-4hrs pour être sûr. Donc la première fois j'ai été en personne & dis au cook que je vais prendre une cuisse & lui de me répondre qu'elle sera prête dans 3hrs que toute est déjà vendu d'avance... ok, j'aurais dù écouter mes collègues, donc de retour chez
Mes 2 premières commande ont été le sandwich & chaque fois je dois avouer qu'ils était légèrement sec, qu'il manquait de sauce mais bon c'est un sandwich ce n'est pas un hot chicken. Mais le goût du poulet était vraiment bon! .... Par contre, le ROI c'est le poulet entier !!! Cuit en papillon avec leurs épices & tout, sur le charcoal pendant 3-4hrs....OMG !!! incroyable, Meilleur poulet en ville. J'achète que ça, je crois que j'en ai acheté à date une dizaine!
Si vous voulez mon conseil, appelez 3-4hrs d'avance, commander le poulet entier & vous ne serez pas déçu!
