Rosélys is widely recognized for its elegant atmosphere and exceptional culinary offerings, ranging from its highly praised Sunday brunch buffet to carefully curated afternoon tea and sophisticated dinner menus. Many visitors appreciate the fresh, high-quality ingredients used in dishes like the avocado toast, duck, and various seafood options, often highlighting the impressive flavor profiles and beautiful presentation. While the dining experience is frequently described as upscale and memorable, guests particularly value the attentive and professional service that often elevates their visit. Although there are occasional mentions of varying service consistency or concerns regarding pricing and value, the restaurant remains a popular destination for both special occasions and refined everyday dining in the heart of the city.
Went for the buffet on a Sunday afternoon. The food presentation, the staff & the atmosphere is amazing. My only comment is the lack of vegetarian food. It's unfair for a vegetarian to pay full price at the buffet for basically salad, pasta & cold pizza. It's 2026, I would have thought a top tier $100 buffet would have more options with tofu, lentils, different types of pasta etc. Besides the lack of options for vegetarian, it was great.
We chose Rosélys to celebrate our son's 7th birthday with a special afternoon tea. It was close to our hotel & the website mentions a kids menu, which made it seem like a good fit.
The hostess was warm & welcoming & seated us in a comfortable booth. That was the highlight of the experience & the reason for the two stars.
Unfortunately, everything after that fell short. Our server took quite a while to come over with the tea sample, & by the time he did, we had already read the full menu & were ready to order. When we asked about the kids afternoon tea, his response was dismissive. He told us there was no kids option, just a smaller version of the adult one. (even if this was mentioned in their website)
When I asked for a tea recommendation for my son, the answer was simply,'Whatever you want, Madame.'
The service felt rushed & indifferent, which was disappointing, especially given that this was meant to be a birthday celebration. The tea arrived first, & the rest of the food came much later. Overall, the experience felt underwhelming & poorly paced.
We also noted in our reservation that it was our son's birthday, but there was no acknowledgment at all. We weren't expecting anything extravagant, just a bit of care or recognition.
This was meant to be a special moment for our family, & sadly, it didn't feel special at all.

We visited for the afternoon tea. The tea was really good. A very present flavour green tea. I do recommend. Food-wise, it was far from acceptable experience. The salty options, two were really good. The fois gras & the smoked salmon. Others were inexpressible. The banana cake seemed like artificial, we can have better options from Starbucks. The sweaty options, again two were ok-good. Nothing outstanding. The chocolate pistachio & a small peach-ish option. Location is fantastic, the center of downtown. However, the inside felt extremely empty as a tea room. It seemed like a small conference support room. Considering price, experience & quality, I do not recommend the afternoon tea. It's too expensive for what is proposed.
Very nice place to enjoy a brunch with friends & family. They have a good variety & options from tuna tataki to duck, vegetarian options, pizzas, cheese, smoke salmon, big variety of desserts & pastries, creps, waffles, mimosa, etc. I will come back.
Froid. 4- Pas d'option mocktail ou sans alcool. & le 7even up étais flat.
Ok it's a hotel restaurant. So the vibe is hotel. The price is on the high end but the food is fresh & tasty. The staff are friendly & prompt. Good breakfast buffet & options if you are staying at the fairmont.
