First time in Montreal. We have made it a point to try poutines daily. This place is my favorite so far! (We have been to 2 others). The Montreal Smoked Meat poutine was delicious, & I will definitely have another before heading back to Ontario. Thank you for the great food, & service!
Rock'N Deli on St-Catherine in Montreal is a must try for smoked meat fans! Their halal smoked meat sandwich is incredibly juicy, tender, & melts in your mouth with perfect smokiness & seasoning a burst of flavors on soft bread. ? The Reuben is tasty too, with delicious meat, though they oddly lack customer knives. ? Unique smash burgers, like the Royale with added smoked meat, are enjoyable & add a fun twist. ? Poutine is surprisingly good, decked in gravy & extra meat. ? Staff are super friendly & the vibe is lively with good tunes, but fries are just meh & prices can feel high ($25-40 for a sandwich). ? If you're not French-speaking, minor communication hiccups might occur. Overall, great spot for halal eats in downtown - try the signature sauce! 4/5 stars.
A must go for smoked meat lovers, very clean ,quiet place, food is fresh none of that reheated stuff.

First meal in montreal & it was fantastic!! Poutine & montreal smoked meat, couldn't get any better then that! The gentlemen running the show were very nice & the service was great!

We ordered the smoked meat sandwiches & the club smoked meat trio. The club has way less meat than the regular sandwich. I replaced the potato with sweet potato fries, definitely worth it.
Overall good experience, though it doesn't quite stand out compared to the best smoked meat spots. So definitely room for improvement.

Le service est parfait & l'ambiance est conviviale. Cependant, nous avons étés un peu déçu par la viande qui est la spécialité du lieu. Elle n'avait pas grand goût & la texture n'était pas très agréable.
Au contraire, les onions rings, les frites normales & de patate douces sont très bonnes !
Rock N Deli is a great spot in Montreal if you're craving halal smoked meat! The halal smoked meat sandwich hit the spot - super flavorful & tender - & the chicken club was just as good, fresh & filling. The portions are generous, & everything tastes fresh. It's awesome to have a halal option for this Montreal classic, definitely worth a visit!
Not worth the hype. Average smoked meat, ordered the'Smokey' & got a smoked meat, infested with flies, & bread was stale. The dangers of over expansion!
Awesome experience! Kevin has fantastic customer service skills & was very hospitable. We had a smoked meat sandwich, the burger with the smoked meat on top, & a poutine. All were very delicious. I would highly recommend checking this place out!

We ordered the Smokey Burger, Philly Steak, & Burger Royale - & wow, the flavors were spot on. The meat was incredibly tender & juicy, without being overly fatty or greasy, which is often hard to find with smoked meats.
The service was just as impressive as the food. A big shoutout to Kevin, who welcomed us with two cold bottles of water on a hot day & helped us choose the best items from the menu. His friendly attitude & helpful suggestions made the visit even more enjoyable.
We didn't get a chance to take any photos - the food disappeared fast! 😬
This place is a must-try, especially for anyone new to smoked meats. Highly recommend, & we'll definitely be coming back again (& again).
Got the smoked meat sandwich with smoked meat poutine. The mustard paired with the smoked meat blended the flavours well. The meat was extremely moist & it almost melted in your mouth. The poutine had a fair amount of toppings & tasted great. Service was really nice too. Great food & experience.
We enjoyed the smoked meat sandwiches. They serve Halal smoked meat. My Children had it for the first time & they loved it. Place is clean, team is polite & service is excellent. We live in Ottawa & we spent one day in montreal. We are glad that we ended our wonderful day in Montreal with a nice smoked meat meals. We will try it again in our next visit 😀
There is Kevin the frenchie who rocks the place, then there is the kitchen staff being as slow as can be. Poutine is acceptable. Smoked meat is not the best I've had, but the only halal I've heard of. Prices are a bit high for the portion sizes, in my opinion... but again, the only halal smoked meat I've heard of. The place took a few weeks to really take off, but now that a few local influencers visited, hopefully they will be there to stay.
