First of all let's all agree, that the vibe of RH is definitely stunning. This rooftop resto is a must visit for an upscale dining experience.
The fountain, chandeliers, sunroof, & lights at night make visiting both during the day & in the evening 2 different & beautiful experiences.

I noticed that generally, the service is good, but really depending on who's serving you.

Food wise, it is not the place that I'll visit because I'm dieing for a meal there.
Salads are somehow greasy. We went many times & tried almost everything on the menu.
I'll recommend that you stay away from anything with chicken.
Their burger, truffle fries, the regular salad with a side of shrimp or salmon, their baked potatos & the cappuccions, strawberries with cream are the best on their menu.

The atmoshere might be beautiful but the food is nothing special, quite mediocre. My friend ordered the lobster salad & it looked horrible. Some lobster concoction sitting in the middle of a full head of boston lettuce. My Caesar salad with chicken was boring. You're paying these inflated prices for the venue not the food. This is Montreal, we expected better!

RH Restaurant Montreal - Refined Dining with a Unique Twist
⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
RH Restaurant in Montreal is a genuinely memorable dining experience - partly for the food, partly for the setting, & partly because of how you get there.
Atmosphere & Setting
The ambiance is exceptional. Tucked inside the RH furniture showroom, the restaurant is accessed through the store & up by elevator - an unusual approach that actually adds to the sense of occasion. Once inside, the design aesthetic is warm, sophisticated, & unlike any restaurant space in the city. It feels curated rather than constructed.
Service
Attentive without being intrusive, & proactively so - staff anticipate needs rather than simply reacting to them. Professional throughout, which matches the elevated setting.
Food
The menu delivered across the board. We started with a fresh salad, then moved to the star of the meal: braised beef brisket with bruschetta eggs, cooked perfectly - tender, flavourful, & exactly what you want from a dish like that. Sweet potato fries on the side were a nice touch. To finish, strawberries with cream & espressos - simple, classic, & the right note to end on. Yes, it sits firmly in the premium price bracket, but the quality justifies it.
Parking
A genuine bonus in Montreal: direct access through the attached mall means no hunting for street parking or paying downtown rates separately.
Bottom Line
RH is the kind of restaurant where the experience is the point. The combination of stunning atmosphere, attentive service, a well-crafted meal, & that one-of-a-kind furniture-store-to-fine-dining journey makes it worth every franc - or rather, every Canadian dollar. I'd go back.

The restaurant is spacious, drenched in beautiful natural light, with a breathtaking view of the sky. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the setting.

I can't justify $48 for a lobster salad that was essentially a head of Boston lettuce with a scattering of frozen, rubbery lobster on top. Barely seasoned, too. Then $20 for what amounted to a tiny cone of sweet potato fries.

& the Campari Spritz? More ice than actual cocktail.

A gorgeous space with luxury prices, but the experience felt painfully underwhelming. Stop pretending Montreal is L.A. or Paris. Because it isn't.

It is the second time I go. First time I went was ok, however they have since changed their menu. I ordered yesterday the chicken salad: It is literally a chicken breast on 4 leaves of tasteless lettuce. No dressing, no veggies, nothing else (40 dollar dish). What a joke. So my advice to this restaurant is to please remove this from the menu, it is an embarrassment to a luxury restaurant. Decor is nice however.

Service wasn't great, & me & my friend got really bad food poisoning from the food (we shared a steak & ceasar salad). It's too bad because the restaurant is stunning, but will definitely not be going back.

the food was amazing! i got a salad & it tasted delicious. but the service was terrible. for such a gorgeous place its crazy that the servers dont check on you & dont create any sort of rapport. the server barely listened to us & barely checked on us. it was also my birthday & high class restaurants always offer free dessert or actually care about how the present the dessert that we ordered. they definitely to work on their service but the food is good.

I am not one to ever complain about food because it's really hard to mess food up in my opinion, but this place takes the cake. My friend's burger bread was hard as a rock. We knocked it on the plate & it made the loudest knock on the plate. Sides cost extra, so if you didn't pay extra for the fries it would've been just the burger on the plate & that's it. I had a salad with chicken added & it came up to $73 with tip which I think is an exaggeration, considering the fact that my chicken was so dry I could barely swallow it. The atmosphere is very nice, & some of the staff were very nice, some of them just plain rude. When we talked about our experience to our waiter Nico, he was very understanding & offered us free cookies to go. Thank you for the amazing service Nico you were very funny & king :)

Let's start with food. We ordered two salads, the Chinese chicken & the grilled shrimp, truffle fries & fried artichoke. I got a glass of white wine & my friend got a Bellini. We also ended the night with some mint tea & warm chocolate chip cookies. Everything was tasty. All presented nicely & served quickly. No complaints, but we did order very simple food that's hard to mess up. The downside was the bill at the end of the night. Unbelievably overpriced!! It basically was double of what the bill should have actually been.
Now let's talk service & atmosphere. The restaurant itself is pretty, it gives off fancy hotel vibes. Tables are very distant from one another. Their heating needs to be fixed. The waiter kept insisting on taking our coats saying that it would get in the way even though the tables are very spread apart. Then he insisted on giving us a pashmina to keep warm.. My friend at some point wanted to put her purse down on the floor & a waiter saw her & insisted on putting a cloth under it so it wouldn't get dirty. We found that absolutely hilarious, it was so awkward! Towards the end of the evening, around 10PM, the heaters were basically off. Everyone around us kept looking around to see if someone had opened a window.

To conclude, they need to dial down on wanting to make it seem as if we were at a very prestigious & pretentious restaurant. It was just too much! It was cheesy!

I heard the brunch was good, but at those exaggerated prices, ill probably go elsewhere.
