I tried planning a brunch here for a group of 12 people. The minimum spend was around $1,400, not including a 20% tip or 5% administrative fee, & they also required a 50% deposit to secure the reservation. It seemed a little excessive for brunch, but we were willing to move forward with it.
After confirming everything by email, the event coordinator replied a day later at around 10:30 p.m. saying she could call me the following morning to finalize the details. I agreed & waited for her call, but she never called. I followed up by email multiple times asking for an update & received no response. She also never provided a phone number where I could reach her directly.
As the date got closer, we still had nothing officially booked, so I eventually decided to make a reservation elsewhere-& I'm very glad I did. To this day, I still haven't received a response.
For the amount of money they were asking us to spend, I expected a much better level of communication & service. Extremely disappointing experience.
We came to RH to celebrate a friend's birthday, & it was such a wonderful experience. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous, every detail of the space is breathtaking & creates such an elegant atmosphere.
What truly made our evening special was the outstanding service from Linda. She was incredibly sweet, welcoming, & attentive throughout our visit. She gave us great recommendations, made sure we had everything we needed, & genuinely made us feel so comfortable & well taken care of.
From the beautiful ambiance to the exceptional service, everything exceeded our expectations!

Nous sommes allés au RH Restaurant à deux reprises. La première fois, nous avions adoré notre expérience. La deuxième fois après le changement de menu, nous avons été déçus. Nous avons commandé plusieurs plats dont les frites aux truffes & parmesan (22 $), mais le parmesan était clairement du Kraft & non du parmesan frais (le goût du parmesan Kraft est très distinctif & c'est impossible que c'étais du parmesan frais rapé). À ce prix, c'est un détail qui fait une différence. Par contre, le service était excellent. Merci à notre serveur pour son professionnalisme & son attention.
I took my husband here for his birthday dinner. The restaurant itself is beautiful, & the rooftop terrace is a great feature. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not live up to the setting or the prices.
The service was disappointing. The staff seemed young & inexperienced, lacking the attention to detail & professionalism expected at a restaurant of this caliber. We ordered six oysters but were served twelve. While we agreed to keep them, they still appeared on the bill & had to be corrected.
The seating arrangements also made little sense. As a party of two, we were seated at a small, cramped table, while another party of two nearby was given a booth designed for six guests. Throughout the evening, the restaurant felt more focused on maximizing capacity than creating a comfortable dining experience.
The atmosphere was further diminished by the lack of any apparent dress code. Guests arrived dressed as though they were heading to a beach club rather than an upscale restaurant, which took away from what should have been a refined dining experience.
After dinner, we hoped to finish the half bottle of wine remaining on our table while enjoying the rooftop terrace. We were told this was not permitted due to licensing restrictions. While I understand regulations must be followed, it seems like a missed opportunity given that the terrace is one of the restaurant's main attractions.
The restaurant is visually stunning, but the service, seating management, & overall attention to the guest experience fall well short of the standard the venue appears to be aiming for.
Le restaurant est vraiment sublime - on sent clairement l'investissement dans le lieu, c'est propre, soigné, & ça fait une très bonne première impression.
Par contre, côté nourriture, il y a quelques points à revoir.
On a commandé la burrata : pour 32$, on se retrouve avec une demi-tomate & une petite burrata. C'est très léger pour le prix.
En plat principal, j'ai pris le « Chilean sea bass » (mer du Chili). Rien à dire sur la qualité du poisson, c'est du haut de gamme. Par contre, l'accompagnement est vraiment minimal : une petite portion de pommes de terre, sans plus. À ce niveau de prix, on s'attend à quelque chose de plus généreux, comme des légumes ou une assiette mieux équilibrée.
Deux autres détails :
- Le pied de la table est trop imposant, ce qui rend la position des pieds inconfortable.
- Les toilettes : expérience un peu étrange. Toutes les portes semblaient fermées, ce qui crée une file inutile, alors que plusieurs cabines étaient libres, sans indication claire.
C'est dommage, parce que le potentiel est clairement là, mais ces détails viennent gâcher l'expérience globale.
I am a regular client at RH Restaurant, & every visit is a true pleasure. Everything is delicious, & it is hard to choose because the menu is exceptional. The seafood is magnificent, & the caviar guediles are simply incredible.
The place is spectacular & unique in Montreal. The rooftop, the glass ceiling & walls, along with the stunning illuminated chandeliers, create an absolutely waaaaw atmosphere. The water fountain in the center of the restaurant brings incredible energy & a truly unique charm.
The service is excellent. A big thank you to Mr. Josh & Mr. Maxime for their professionalism, kindness, & attention to detail.

I went here for my birthday with my parents & my girlfriend, & honestly… I'm still thinking about it. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, everything was absolutely incredible.
Let's start with the food, because wow. Out of this world delicious doesn't even fully cover it. I ordered the sliced ribeye in a baguette, & my dad also got the ribeye - both were insanely juicy & literally melted in our mouths. Every bite was better than the last. My mom had the lobster roll & it tasted unbelievably fresh, like the ingredients were chosen that morning. My girlfriend ordered the Asian salad, & the flavors complemented each other so perfectly - light, balanced, & full of flavor. Even the French fries deserve their own moment because they were next-level amazing. Crispy, flavorful, & paired with an aioli that somehow made everything taste even better.
We started with the crispy artichokes & caviar, which were delicious & felt so perfectly indulgent - the kind of appetizer that sets the tone for an amazing meal.
The restaurant itself is inside the RH furniture store in Royalmount, & the ambiance is unreal. It honestly felt like stepping into a movie or a museum. The decor is stunning, super high-end, & elegant without feeling cold. The vibe was exactly what I wanted for my birthday - classy, beautiful, & memorable.
Now, while the food was incredible, the service truly stole the show. The wait staff was beyond kind & attentive, constantly checking in & genuinely caring about our experience. We never felt rushed, & every detail was handled perfectly. It really made us feel like the price was more than worth it, because we were so well taken care of.
A huge, special shoutout to Hervé, who made the night even more special. He was incredibly attentive, warm, & genuinely kind. We had such a great conversation with him, & he made my parents especially happy, which meant a lot to me. You could tell he truly cared about making sure our table had the best experience possible - & he absolutely succeeded.
Overall, this place is 100% worth it. If you're thinking about going, do it. The food is mouthwateringly good, the ambiance is unforgettable, & the service - especially thanks to Hervé - makes the whole experience feel extra special. You will absolutely be taken care of.
