Afficher toutbeautiful(23) brunch(15) attentive(14) price(13) salad(12) decor(11) lobster(10) recommend(10) vibe(10) roll(9) genuinely(9) stunning(9)The decor of the place is stunning! Ambiance is nice. The food is okay, overpriced & portions on the small side. The service is unorganized & mediocre. For the price you would expect them to know some basic etiquette & be more organized. The place has a lot of potential if they improve the food & service. After all, it is a restaurant & we are not there to only admire the chandeliers.
Yes it's very pricey but I knew this coming in. I went for dinner & had the crispy artichokes & brie & it was excellent! Had the chicken burger which was very good. The venue is stunning & really did enjoy my time overall. Remember to ask for tap water! Or else they give to a 12$ bottle of flat!
One of the most beautiful restaurants I have been to in Montreal. However, the food & the service was severely lacking.
For the service, most employees were friendly, however they all lacked professionalism & proper training. I am aware that the restaurant is new so I can kinda understand, but it seemed like everyone they hired had 0 experience in the restauration industry. For example nobody would pick up the empty dirty plates, they would often forget requests, they wouldn't bring clean empty plates after the appetizers that are meant to be shared are brought to the table. I imagine this aspect will be better with time & experience.
For the food, it is wayyyyy too expensive for what it is. The portions are very small & the taste is just OK, they couldn't even get the steak & salmon doneness right, & even after the waitress brought the steak to the kitchen, she came back to tell us that the chefs said'this is how we do it here' so we just ate it that way. For example our 1/3rd inch ribeye that comes with no sides is 88$ before tax & tips. For the price tag, i'd imagine the food to be at a higher standard, but I guess the main attraction is really the ambiance.
I haven't tried their drinks, but all in all, I wouldn't come back here for the food.
We were looking forward to the opening of RH resto & overall its got a great vibe for sure. Service was excellent & very thoughtful considering allergies with one of our family members, they really made sure of no cross contamination. Our server very sweet, kind & friendly. Ambiance is cool but definitely the food is good but not great considering the high ticket price. I was shocked to see our lobster at $85 under 1 pound which equates to 4-6 small bites & no sides. Totally not worth it & felt cheated for an overall bill of $600 for 4. Hopefully the company gets reasonable with their restaurant charges & makes changes based on current prices for equivalent high end restaurants in Montreal.
Average at best. Beef sandwich was cold (not sure if that's the way it was supposed to be). Small portions. nice ambiance.
Overall not worth the price.
Always love trying a new restaurant in Montreal!
The vibes are super upscale & fancy. The service is also next level, they were constantly on top of their game.
The food itself was also very amazing, but EXPENSIVE. Get ready to spend. I started off with the 6 grilled shrimp as an appetizer for $32!! Of course it was amazing but the prices are insane. As our mains I got the roasted chicken which I loved, my friend got the RH burger which was equally as good!! The caesar salad we shared was very garlicky & not really how I prefer my Caesar salads to taste but still very flavourful & well made.
When we got our bills we did not expect to be charged each $6 for the water we were being poured! We would've just asked for tap water to avoid that unnecessary charge.
Would totally come back as a bigger group!! There's something for everyone here.
Pros:
Beautiful atmosphere.
Very nice & helpful staff.
Food is decent, not exceptional.
Cons:
Extremely slow service but this seems to be a kitchen issue with poor execution. Our dessert never showed up. When we called our server over to inquire about it after waiting 40 minutes, we were told they'didn't know when it would come as they're very busy'. They did offer us complimentary cookies but wait time for a dessert & the'we don't know when it'll arrive' is not appropriate for a restaurant like this. I do appreciate the server who was apologetic. They did end up crediting us for the dessert & packaging it to go as we were on our way out.
Price: way too expensive for what it is. Wayyyy too expensive, my god. We paid $300 for 2 salads, lobster tail appetizer, artichokes, 2 ices lattes, & a glass of wine. I don't mind spending money on culinary experiences but this does not warrant the price. Also, portions are quite small.
Overall, I think I'd go back but only when I have 5 hours to kill & $400 to waste.
Location is nice. They definitely have good offerings. The blinis with caviar were great. The lobster roll & crab roll, although delicious, are singular rolls & are propped up to look fuller visually than they actually are if you push the meat into the bun properly which I guess could be disappointing for some if you're used to lobster rolls(plural) elsewhere at a cheaper price. The burger was good though & is probably the best bang for your buck dish on the menu. I would just avoid bringing budget conscious people here. Still had a great time though.
