The sandwiches & burgers at Reuben's Deli are absolutely delicious-flavorful, fresh, & crafted with care. The staff is friendly, attentive, & efficient, which makes for a great overall dining experience.
However, I was surprised to discover they don't offer any gluten?free bread options. In today's culinary landscape, where dietary restrictions are well?recognized & accommodated by many eateries, this seems like a notable oversight. Providing gluten?free choices would make an excellent menu even better & more inclusive.View more

Visited this famous Montreal smoked meat spot & overall, it lived up to its reputation! The smoked meat was definitely the highlight - tender, flavorful, & perfectly seasoned. It had that classic, satisfying bite you hope for in a Montreal deli.
I also really enjoyed the French onion soup - rich, savory broth with just the right amount of melted cheese & soft onions. A comforting start to the meal.
The only letdown was the rib cheese macaroni. It sounded promising but ended up being a bit bland & heavy. The texture wasn't quite right, & it just didn't have the same quality as the other dishes.
Still, the core experience - the smoked meat & the soup - was solid. Worth a visit if you're in town & craving a taste of classic Montreal comfort food.View more

After a morning hike on Mont Royal, we were craving something hearty & decided to stop by Reuben's Deli on Saint Catherine. It's a classic spot in the heart of Montreal, & we went straight for their smoked meat sandwich. The sandwich was stacked high with tender, juicy meat, perfectly seasoned, & the rye bread was just right - soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. It was a really satisfying meal after the hike, but I have to admit, while Reuben's was great, it didn't quite beat Smoke Meat Pete out on Île Perrot. Pete's still holds the crown for me in terms of flavor & that melt-in-your-mouth texture. That said, if you're downtown & craving a smoked meat fix, Reuben's is definitely worth the stop!View more

Je fréquente ce restaurant depuis de nombreuses années & je n'ai jamais été déçu! Aujourd'hui, j'ai commandé quelque chose de différent: le sandwich de rôti de boeuf chaud, fromage suisse dans un pain baguette accompagné d'une trempette vermouth au jus & le tout, servi avec des frites. La viande tranchée mince était fondante, le fromage suisse fondu se mariait bien à celle-ci & le pain baguette était aussi servi chaud, sa croute craquante & sa mie moelleuse. C'ÉTAIT ABSOLUMENT DÉLICIEUX! Pour les amateurs de rôti de boeuf, je vous recommande ce sandwich sans hésitation! Egalement, je tiens à souligner le service souriant, professionnel & empressé de Sarah! Enfin, je ne veux surtout pas oublier de mentionner leur macaroni au smoked meat qui est tout à fait addictif ainsi que leurs burgers qui sont franchement décadents! We come here every time we visit Montreal. Good deli sandwiches. The French dip & Reuben were moist & tasty. Didn't like the Mac & cheese though. Service was quite & friendly. Prices have come up. Sad face.View more

Wr wanted to go to the Reuben Delicatessen in the basement (corner of McGill & Ste Catherine), but it was closed for renovation. Tuis location is not far, however the food is a bit different... I have never been disappointed with the quality at Reuben's Delicatessen & it has been consistent over the years. Although the service was excellent, the Deli & steakhouse is not comparable in terms of quality. My spaghetti was not as tasty as the one at the Delicatessen location & the Grill Cheese was ok, but not anything that would make us go back. The best thing we had was the Onion Rings as starter! Overall average when it comes to quality-price ratio. The bill: $107.51 + tip for lunch is on the high end, & we would have expected a near "wow" experience. Hopefully the Delicatessen location will reopen soon & the quality will still be there!View more

Delicatessen classique, où on a cependant misé sur un décor plus élaboré que dans le deli habituel. Le sandwich à la viande fumée était bon, mais ça ne casse tout de même pas trois pattes à un canard. Les frites industrielles gâchaient le tableau. Par contre, la salade de chou était bonne, bien fraîche, & la portion était satisfaisante.
À signaler, le service à notre table était assuré ce midi par une jeune femme à la bonne humeur éclatante & contagieuse. De précédentes visites me permettent de conclure que c'est un trait qu'on aime retrouver chez le personnel, ce qui aide beaucoup à rendre la visite agréable.
Bref on va là parce que c'est bien situé & relax. La cuisine est honnête & les ingrédients sont de bonne qualité. Si on ne cherche pas l'expérience gastronomique, c'est un bon endroit pour un déjeuner simple & rapide.
