One of the best smoke meat in town, menu is well prices & well worth it. You'll notice there's always a manager supervising any plates leaving the kitchen to make sure every dish is perfect, you can actually see the kitchen. This place has been stable & consistent over the last 29 odd years I've been going. Highly recommend & please try the smoked meat !View more

Visited this famous Montreal smoked meat spot & overall, it lived up to its reputation! The smoked meat was definitely the highlight - tender, flavorful, & perfectly seasoned. It had that classic, satisfying bite you hope for in a Montreal deli.
I also really enjoyed the French onion soup - rich, savory broth with just the right amount of melted cheese & soft onions. A comforting start to the meal.
The only letdown was the rib cheese macaroni. It sounded promising but ended up being a bit bland & heavy. The texture wasn't quite right, & it just didn't have the same quality as the other dishes.
Still, the core experience - the smoked meat & the soup - was solid. Worth a visit if you're in town & craving a taste of classic Montreal comfort food.View more

Our group had such a good lunch on our first visit that we came back again later in the week! This restaurant was a great place to introduce visitors to smoked meat. Large portions & very fast service. We did make a reservation for our second visit as it was a Sunday afternoon. Kids meals were also very large. Wheelchair accessible bathroom on the main level. This place is now my go-to spot for smoked meat sandwiches in Montréal. We tried the Famous Super Sandwich & the Chop Chop Poutine-both were absolutely delicious. Amazing smoked meat sandwiches. The meat was not grainy like a lot of reuban sandwiches, & it was super flavorful & rich. We had poutine on the side, which had amazing gravy. On another note, the service was incredible, & our server definitely earned his high tip. If you're in the area, this place is definitely a must go at least once.View more

A very very poor experience. It started great with an extremely friendly greeting & were seated right away. Then we waited. & waited. & waited. For what seemed like 15 mins before a server finally came. We let it go. It was busy. We ordered drinks & food at the same time & then never saw our server again until we asked a bus person for the bill. The drinks were good but the food was a huge let down. The Montreal

Mon conjoint a pris un smoked meat classique sur pain de seigle & c'était excellent également
Un peu cher par contre pour un repas sans alcool mais c'est rendu cher partout 🤷?♀?

Ben oui c'est du bon smoked meat. Mais t'as soit le sandwich à 29$ ou l'assiette smoked meat à 35$. Ça pas de bon sens comment c'est exorbitant pour ce genre de repas. The place is very nice & staff is very friendly. The sandwiches are delicious & flavourful. I do like it better than Dunn's. But its a different type of place as well. Great Lunch.View more

The smoked meat is very different from other famous Montreal flags for Smoked Meat. It is cut very thin but the strips are too long & kinda chewy... biting into a sandwich doesn't do it without pulling all the way to the end of the strip... but the Poutine Chop Chop is amazingView more
