thai(65) dishes(47) wine(41) pork(29) curry(27) flavour(26) recommend(24) vin(22) dessert(20) salad(19) fish(19) tiramisu(18)Every bite was an absolute delight. Ordered the green curry (special menu), pork meatballs, & fish balls. Even the beans in the curry had the most perfect crunch. Staff was great & very helpful :)
The vegan options are excellent, the mushrooms are excellently grilled 👌🏾👌🏾 staff is great & was attentive to us
We had an amazing experience here, but it was all for the food. Service could have been so much more attentive. Found the items that didn't have the *spicy note on the menu pretty spicy too, but it was still nice & balanced. The Panang curry with Maitake was lovely & the Thai tea tiramisu instantly became my favourite. Be sure to make a reservation because they can get super busy!
If you're on the hunt for a Thai restaurant that delivers bold flavors, vibrant ambiance, & a menu designed for sharing, look no further. This hidden gem hits every note-balancing authenticity with creativity in a way that makes each dish feel both familiar & refreshingly new.
Service was great-friendly, knowledgeable, & genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. Our server offered excellent pairing suggestions & made sure dishes arrived in a well-paced order that allowed us to savor each one. Scallops & Thai tea tiramisu were highlights! P.s be mindful of some of the dishes if you have a low spice tolerance
One of my favourite meals that I've had in a really long time. It's well worth what you're spending - truly amazing flavours in every dish we ordered, & great vibes/atmosphere.
Overall the food was good, but a bit pricey. We ordered three dishes & a dessert to share. I also ordered one glass of wine. The bill ended up being 90+ after tax & tip.
I liked the duck heart quite a lot. The pork was a bit salty but okay if you eat it with the sticky rice. It was my first time learning that Thai food can be eaten like BBQ, e.g., wrapping the meat & rice with cabbage. Quite interesting. The fish was good, tasted like it was cooked with Tom Yum Goong Soup. I liked it at the beginning but the whole fish was quite big for two people. In the end, it felt a bit greasy.
The restaurant is quite cute with a small patio outside in the neighborhood. It was a bit rainy & cool the day we went, but it was okay sitting outside with heating on.
Contemporary Thai food fused with Chinese food. Thai tea tiramisu is so good! Service is very tentative. We had a tasting menu at $70 per person. Amount is not enough for 3, but they added a bonus chicken wing at the end. Some dishes are very salty.
Wow. J'en parle encore après 1 an.
We were really looking forward to Pichai in Montreal. The food was excellent & full of flavor. Portions were a bit small, but everything tasted great.
The service, though, felt off. We had a reservation & arrived on time, but a server let the group behind us in ahead of us without explanation. When we looked at her, she just said'sorry about that' & moved on. One dish was placed on our table without a word, while other servers explained things, so the experience felt inconsistent.
At one point, we overheard a table politely ask to switch to a quieter area, which was empty at the time, & the same server just replied'sorry, no' & walked away. They looked just as confused as we were.
After reading other reviews, it seems we weren't the only ones who felt this way. I don't usually leave negative feedback, but we didn't feel especially welcome. Some staff were friendly, but overall the vibe didn't match the quality of the food. Hopefully the service improves, because the kitchen is doing great work.
Très bon moment passé chez Pitchai, de belles saveurs dans les plats avec un bon rapport qualité/prix, un service attentionné.
I've had Thai food all over the world & nothing comes close to my meal at Pichai. Every single dish was unique, & intentional, telling a story from start to finish. Service was beyond exceptional, wine recommendations were great. Can't wait till the next one.
Best thai food in Mtl, super fun vibe & decor & amazing food. They do spicy just right & Dessert was huge & so yummy
Good food. Small place, so make reservations. The menu changes often. It's a little more pricy than other thai restaurants, but worth a try
This was the best meal I've had in literally decades. I would drive the 6+ hours again in a heartbeat to eat here again. Amazing elevated Thai food with local ingredients & the kindest staff you will ever encounter. The duck laab is absolutely inspired. When you think of MTL & food, think Pichai, poutine, smoked meat. In that order, respectfully. ❤?❤?❤?
