I came with a friend who had discovered it through her father after reading about it in La Presse. I used to go back when they were on Notre-Dame in St-Henri. It was charming then.

Now in Little Italy, the place still holds that same spirit. Unpretentious, a bit hidden, surrounded by great spots like Vin Mon Lapin & Pumpui. It fits.

The menu is intentional. Not overloaded.
I went with the chef's selection to try a bit of everything.

Honestly, nothing changed since 2016.
The quality is still there. The details still matter.

Updated decor, but same soul.

I finished every plate.
Had the house gelato.

Still thinking about it.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié mon repas, le service était très agréable. Chaque plat était succulent & surprenant, je n'ai pas été déçue.
Mention spéciale pour le dessert du soir mochi au raisin & haricot rouge qui était excellent.

Lighting is soft & intimate. Chef's Seafood Platter is a must-try. Good date spot! Thank you for the good sashimi (:

I went to Nozy exactly two weeks ago on a Friday night & had such a great experience! We arrived a bit earlier than our reservation time but they welcomed us right away & served us immediately. The restaurant was nice & cozy. The food came out quickly & was so fresh & delicious. I truly enjoyed my supper there & will definitely be going back more often, especially now that their new location is less than a 10 minute drive from my home! Can't wait to go back!!!

Nozy is a truly unique experience in Montreal & one of the rare places where you can eat genuinely authentic Japanese cuisine. In a city where real Japanese food is surprisingly hard to find, Nozy really stands apart.

I was a big fan of the original restaurant, & the new venue fully lives up to its reputation. The cooking feels confident & thoughtful, with a clear respect for Japanese culinary traditions. Nothing feels overdone or designed to impress for the sake of it. The focus is clearly on quality, technique, & balance.

The uni is outstanding, fresh & creamy with a clean, delicate flavor. The sashimi is beautifully cut & impeccably fresh, letting the fish speak for itself. The unagi is perfectly cooked, tender & rich, with just the right amount of glaze. The chirashi is another highlight, generous & well balanced, with every element placed with care.

What really makes Nozy special is the delicacy of the food. The flavors are subtle & precise, never heavy, & everything feels intentional. It is the kind of meal you slow down for & really appreciate.
If you care about Japanese cuisine & authenticity, Nozy is an absolute must in Montreal.
