On revient du resto, on était sur la terrasse donc on a pas eu le vibe de l'intérieur avec son décor magnifique mais tout de même l'extérieur était très bien. Coté service; il était très lent mais on était pas pressé donc ça été. Coté nourriture; les tacos jerks étaient excellents & la trempette de crabe aussi par contre le Jambalaya manquait de kicks, on aurait voulu plus de goût/ piquant. Nous sommes déjà allés à New Orléans & il y avait plus de saveur mais bon, sommes toute c'était bien

This is the strongest example of a'meh' restaurant i've ever been to. Ultimately, nothing i tried at Louisinana was bad, but nothing was good either.
I'll start with the pros, the interior decor was gorgeous, although with the live band it's INCREDIBLY loud, unlike some other restaurants, it feels loud for a purpose. The terrasse is a little cramped with tables, but i'll give that up to centropolis' organization more than the restaurant. Service was quite slow but i'll blame that on new restaurant & computer issues as opposed to problematically slow, our waiter was really kind & professional, (i believe his name was jeremy) he did a great job & handled kitchen issues like a pro.
Sadly the pros kind of end there.
Some of the food was meh, some of the food was edging on bad. The Shrimp cakes were okay, but heavily lacking on shrimp, the green beans sort of tasted like blanched frozen green beans, nothing else added to them, most entrees we had were very, very average.
Then, our waiter brought out some honey butter, & told us that the butter & the plates were for some complimentary biscuits, how exciting! The waiter then came by with the basket & some tongs, & placed what i can only describe as a biscuit the size of a quarter on my plate. Guys, the complimentary biscuits at Popeye's are 3 times bigger. At this point don't even give free biscuits, it looked ridiculous.
The gumbo was quite good, but insanely bland, upon first bite my reflex was wow i wish i had some slap ya mama seasoning to add in. For 37$ it had 3 slices of sausage, 3 shrimps, & a handful of pieces of shredded chicken. Yikes.
The Burger was fine, but for 30$ it makes five guys look like a culinary masterpiece.
The jerk chicken leg was actually one of the best things on the menu, & one of the only things that seemed somewhat reasonably priced. However we're in laval, there's a dozen haitian restaurants that do it better within like a 10km radius.
The fried chicken & waffle… i don't even know where to start, the batter was burnt but the inside was decently cooked, so oil was definitely too hot, seasoning mix for the nashville sauce was decent, but the problem is the waffle. The menu describes a corn waffle, which contextually you'd assume would be some kind of cornbread/cornmeal/polenta waffle. Something like that! No, it's literally like, an eggo that someone dumped chunks of corn into, it made the texture disgusting & was just hard to stomach.
That aside, nothing was BAD. there was nothing straight up HORRIBLE. but for the price, i can't rate this more than 2 stars, i can list you 20 restaurants in montreal & laval that cost less than Louisinana & have better food, better service, better everything. I've had meals in this city that have completely changed my life for less than what we spent here. If they cut the prices, or doubled the quality of the food, this could be a legendary restaurant. Until that happens, this won't be more than another sub-par dinner spot in Centropolis. I hope this restaurant improves!
I'm not sure I understand all the great reviews. This is premium fancy mtl restaurant pricing for very basic food. We were a big group so we got to try many items from the menu, all were pretty disappointing. My chicken waffle was strange, entire chunks of corn in the waffle like someone poured canned corn in the batter. The beignets were ok but small. The price needs to go down or the quality needs to go way up in order for this place to make sense.

Les plats étaient tout simplement incroyables : généreux, savoureux & parfaitement assaisonnés. Mention spéciale pour le gumbo & les crevettes épicées - un vrai voyage gustatif en Louisiane ! Le chef maîtrise parfaitement les classiques cajuns & créoles, avec une touche de modernité qui fait toute la différence.
Le service était irréprochable : attentionné, rapide & toujours avec le sourire. On sent que toute l'équipe est passionnée & soucieuse de faire vivre un moment inoubliable à ses clients.
Une adresse à ne pas manquer si vous aimez la bonne cuisine, l'authenticité & l'accueil chaleureux. J'y retournerai sans hésiter !
Mon récent passage dans ce resto louisianais a été une véritable révélation. Les plats de fruits de mer étaient tout simplement divins, chaque bouchée étant un pur délice. On sentait que les ingrédients étaient frais & de première qualité, & la cuisine était vraiment incroyable.
L'ambiance du restaurant est un autre point fort. Le décor est soigné & crée une atmosphère chaleureuse & invitante. Un grand merci à Rémi/Rémy, le barman, dont le talent & le professionnalisme ont rendu notre soirée encore plus agréable.
Bref, une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle que je recommande sans hésiter. Si vous cherchez un endroit où la cuisine est à la fois délicieuse & mémorable, ne cherchez plus !
La nourriture était incroyable, un service impeccable !! Nous sommes tombée en amour avec la place !! C'est devenu notre restaurant no1 de la région !! Bien hâte d'y retourner !!

Dès qu'on met les pieds dans ce restaurant, on est tout de suite frappé par le visuel épatant & l'ambiance incroyable. Chaque détail est pensé avec goût & originalité, c'est un vrai plaisir pour les yeux! Le personnel est attentionné, souriant & vraiment à l'écoute. Ils connaissent bien le menu & savent nous guider selon nos goûts.
& que dire de la nourriture? Un pur délice!
J'ai été complètement charmée par ce mélange savoureux de cuisine créole, cajun & jerk. Un menu haut en couleurs & en saveurs, qui fait voyager à chaque bouchée. 🛑 Petit avertissement toutefois : ce sont des plats bien épicés! Il faut aimer le piquant... mais si c'est votre cas, vous allez adorer! Pour ma part, c'était parfaitement balancé & absolument délicieux.
