Restaurant was quiet, but romantic atmosphere, welcoming & warm. We were surprised as it was quite busy last time we came. Chef is from Rome & pasta is homemade. They have a huge wheel of Grana Padano for their pasta flambee, if you want something a bit showy for dinner (in our case, for a birthday celebration).
We ordered the antipasto plate to start, each took different plates for the meal, a few glasses of wine & 2 desserts to share.
Menu is well curated, & feels very authentic. The only downside was the selection of bread they offer at the beginning, some type of dry bun - we would've preffered ciabatta or foccacia, & served warm. Otherwise, we were really stuffed & enjoyed the meal & atmosphere!

After years of dining here, it's been 2 times in a row where it displeases me to say that I think they're done. Last time was low season so I chalked it up to a skeleton staff that needed a break post-holiday. Tonight, however, sealed the deal & this is the last time I'm dining there. For appetizers, we ordered the burrata, the charcuterie, & the oysters. The oysters were small & dry, the charcuterie was disappointing as it was filled with nuts & not much else.
For mains, we ordered a 42 oz steak, the ravioli, & a pasta. After waiting between 30-40 minutes for the mains, the meat & ravioli were cold & the pasta wasn't good. The waitress did offer a dessert or coffee but we just wanted to leave by that point. It's too bad, I really used to like this place but after 2 disappointing meals, I'm done.
A very nice restaurant with ambient lights & atmosphere. The staff is super kind & always asking you about your food experience. We started with the red wine & moved on to the main course. I had the Snow Crab Agnolotti & it was beyond delicious & one of a kind culinary experience. My partner had the Rack of Lamb & he loved the consistency of it for it was very well made. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse & it was beyond delicious & we loved the presentation! Just make reservations & it's a great restaurant for date night with a super hospitable staff. A 10/10 from me :) UPDATE: Went for Brunch at Le Richmond & the food was great ! We had eggs Benedict to omelette to Avocado French toast & we really loved the food. We had a reservation for 9pm, they made us wait for a good amount of time, then made us sit before changing us place & putting us to a table that wasn't even ready yet. The other tables had candles, ours didnt, we just received two glasses & the cutlery without any care like we saw the other tablea get. We had to wait 20 minutes just to receive the QR code for the menu & another 15 min to order our drinks & food. We came for the Valentine Menu which already doesn't have many options but was fine & we are told that there is only two choices of entrée now which reduces the options. Between the first service & receiving the second we had to wait an hour, we saw all other tables & even tables that came after us getting served, eat & leave & we still didnt reveived the second service before 10:40. The food was cold like it waited a long time on a counter but we never received it on time so it wasn't even that good. We took the desserts to go since we were already paying for them & didnt want to have wait more & when came the time to pay, they not only made us pay the Valentine Menu but even a plate we never asked nor received. After noticing the error & noticing them we had to wait another 15 minutes just to get our refund from the manager that didn't once apologize for the crazy waiting time of the whole thing or for the mistake on the bill. The only good point was that our waitress was kind & came to see us once to apologize for the wait we had to endure for the food but thats it. Not worth the money for the little amount of food & close to none service & respect we received. Will never return or recommand this place.
My boyfriend & I went there for the Valentine's day menu last night. All i have to say after last night was never again going nor recommending this place. When we arrived to our 9pm reservation, they told us our table wasn't ready & sat us as a barstool table to wait. 2 mins later we are being told that they are sitting people here & have to wait standing. Then once we get to our table, everyone else's has flowers petals & candles, ours barely had any utensils. We waited 15 mins for a QR code just to see the menu & then another 15 just to order. We had already planned our meals, when they told us one of the appetizers was now unavailable. We then ordered our three courses right away & two drinks. We received our appetizers around 9:45 & we only received our main course at 10:40pm. We waited so long we weren't even hungry for our main course, our server had to ask the manager several times what was taking so long for our dishes. We saw people arrive at the same time & after us, eat all of their meals, dessert & leave before we got ours. Once we got our meals, my duck was very difficult to cut & chew. My boyfriend's raviolis were cold inside & out. At this point, i was exhausted & wanted to leave, so we asked for our desserts to go & paid. My cocktail was way too strong so i asked for a glass of coca cola on the side. Not only did they serve me a shot of room temperature coke, but they also charged us for that one sip of coke. When it was time to pay, they had charged us a 50$ plate that we did not order. If we had not noticed, they would've just let us leave paying more than what we had. Honestly the food was horrible, the service was horrendous & the restaurant was way too full for the amount of space they have to offer. The only good thing about the night was our server who kept checking in on our food & corrected the mistake the first server made on our bill. I will not be recommending this place to anyone & even telling my friends in the restaurant business to never make business with this place.
You'd think at my age I would know better than to take my wife out to dinner on Valentines Day, but here we are. Had the Valentines Menu & we chose Beef Ragout Arencini which was well seasoned & interesting. The Burata was more subtly flavored. The duck breast main was a little dry but with good, seared flavour. The lobster ravioli was big & generous, but a little undercooked for our liking & the lobster filling was tasty but sparse. The desserts, pistachio tiramisu & chocolate mousse, were excellent! It didn't matter how good the food was, because the Valentines Day atmosphere was overwhelming. There must have been lots of extra tables added because we were seated so close to our neighbours we might as well have been sharing a table. The staff had to constantly bump into the back of my chair just to squeeze through. Dinner was tasty but not $250 tasty. I don't resent restaurants capitalizing on the high demand, but it is too bad they make the evening so commercial that it feels like we are forced to pay First Class prices for a Cattle Class experience. I would be willing to try this restaurant's regular menu on a regular night.
Went there for a mtl à table menu & had 4 services. First was smoked salmon with beet puree, then butternut squash with gorgonzola & arugula, then my personal favourite being the ricotta gnocchi with oyster mushrooms (the gnocchi was so airy & light), then a pistachio bonet for dessert. Excellent service, very efficient.
Jeremy is an exceptional head bartender. The dessert that I wanted ( chocolate praline) was not available from the menu & the other options had cream which I cannot have. He went out of his way & left the site (took him 20 minutes ) to bring me a delicious chocolate mousse from a bakery. He made my night & put a huge smile on my face ! Thank you Jeremy :)
My experience at Le Richmont was somewhat disappointing, primarily because the value didn't seem to match the quality of service & culinary offerings. Appetizers: - Burrata: Adequate, but lacked any distinctive features to set it apart. - Oysters: Standard fare; nothing noteworthy. - Beef Tartare: Outstanding. It offered a perfect balance of texture & flavour with excellently chosen meat-a must-try. Main Dishes: - Flambées Pasta: This dish was a letdown. It's touted as a signature dish, yet the pasta reminded me of something you'd find in a supermarket packet. While it was cooked properly, it lacked originality, & the Grana Padano sauce was barely recognizable. - Black Cod: My companions enjoyed this dish, noting it was well-seasoned & perfectly cooked. - Filet Mignon: Exceptional. The quality of the meat & the seasoning were superb, accompanied by deliciously flavoured smashed potatoes & sautéed legumes. This dish justified its price with its remarkable preparation. Desserts: There was a notable service issue as the restaurant had only one serving left for Dark Praline Mousse & informed us only after we had ordered it. This lapse is unexpected from a high-end venue, & unfortunately, the staff did not proactively offer a solution. Following some discussion, we were offered Tiramisu as a replacement. - Dark Praline Mousse: It was the highlight of the desserts, featuring a sublime balance & exquisitely prepared brûlée banana. - Tiramisu: Unfortunately, it felt pretty artificial & didn't meet expectations. - Ginger Panna Cotta: This was mediocre for my taste, seeming overly thickened with cornstarch. Ambience: The restaurant presents an inviting, cozy atmosphere with charming wooden decor. The general level of service was satisfactory. Overall, while there were high points in the culinary experience, particularly the beef tartare & filet mignon, the overall offering at Le Richmont didn't quite live up to expectations, especially considering the high standards one anticipates from such an establishment.
