Amazing warm service from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. We started the night off with signature cocktails & continued the night with an amazing Chianti red wine.
The oysters, mussel bolognese, foie gras risotto, pork belly, duck tartare & most of all the beef Wellington & rib steak were absolutely amazing!
Very personalized customer service & attention from the staff.
We will be back & will bring our friends & family as well as our staff!
Food in general is really tasty. Quaint cozy place. A great place to bring a friend or a date to catch up or have a good conversation.
Service is good since it's small. Wine list +++
I'm giving 4 stars as there's always a room for improvement but overall, i'm satisfied!
We had the burrata & the steak - both excellent. Wine list is just the right size & variety. The armagnac from the large bubble shaped bottle is an absolute must !
A gem to discover ! Highly recommended !
Very nice find on the West Island....great food & service..great cocktail selection & a very robust wine selection...thank you team for a memorable evening
Absolutely love this spot! Delicious seasonal fare, great cocktails & amazing wine list! Intimate experience indoors & a fantastic terrasse!
This is to date the best restaurant experience I have ever had. The service was great, the food amazing & all this is a cozy local little village. Their wine & beverage list is well-rounded & their signature cocktails good. The menu has options for anyone & the portions are just right. Lastly dessert was beyond description. I certainly hope to go back there again, soon.
I'm a long-time foodie & lover of all things gastronomic, which I have no qualms about clearly laying the blame at the feet of my sadly departed gourmet Italian mom, who created magic in her kitchen & taught me the ways of eating well (by the time I was 8, I thought my name was'Taste This'). As a resident of Plateau Mont Royal, I am dangerously surrounded by fantastic restaurants (coucou, L'Express! Bonjour Café Cherrier & Miracolo!), but after hearing nothing but rave reviews about Le Bienheureux from a number of my close chef friends, I knew it was finally time to head west yesterday & be one with your wonderful bistro. From the moment we stepped into your cozy restaurant, to the last sip of wine, we were lavished by good cheer, a cool vibe &, most importantly, an outstanding & creative menu. Your huitres à la Bienheureux left me speechless. My taste buds shall never happily recover. Oh, & your perfectly prepared steak d'onglet, presented succulently with your superb sauce à la crème Bleu Élizabeth... Can perfection actually happen in a plate, I ask? Yes, it can, & it did last night. Your talented staff made the evening even more perfect, switching from English to French to English to French, with impeccable style & wit. A big thank you to all of you at Le Bienheureux. Back in 2008-2009, when I worked a one-year contract with Macdonald College, I was often seen wandering aimlessly along Ste. Anne Street, searching for a bistro to embrace, other than, of course, the beautiful Surcouf. The times, they have changed, & to know that Le Bienheureux is now a fixture on Ste. Anne's main drag is a welcome relief. See you very soon, once again.
June 2025 Update - What a pleasure to revisit a restaurant 8 months later & find the food & service to be as impeccable as all previous visits. This continues to be the best place to eat in the West Island. As the menu changes there is always something new to discover although the curries cauliflower salad is still on the menu & a standout!
This is easily the best restaurant to open in the West Island in 20 years. Ste Anne, despite its fabulous location is generally bereft of great & interesting places to eat. Finally, a truly great place to eat & enjoy the surroundings. It's a small restaurant, inside has a few table & half a dozen or so spaces at the bar, but there's a comfortable patio out back with perhaps 12 or so tables. The music is fantastic, not too loud & perfect to my boomer tastes. We started with a bottle of orange wine, Petite Fleur, that was fruity yet very dry & refreshing, a perfect compliment to dinner & at just over $50, very reasonably priced. There wasn't one thing one the menu I wouldn't order. We were 4 couples & we each ordered 3 dishes per couple. Plus bread. Order bread per couple as there is lots of dipping to be done. The Hollandaise sauce on the short ribs was delicious. The gazpacho like symphony of sauce at the bottom of the burrata was fantastic. Every bite of of every piece of food is fresh! & well prepared. The sauces are plentiful & all delicious. The bread even comes with a tomato dipping sauce, which you should probably order another loaf for bread for! The order of lobster roll comes with two rolls, perfect for sharing. The tuna has little dollops of caviar on them & the watermelon salad is a great way to start the summer. Not to be missed is the cauliflower salad. If you like Indian spices, this will be your favourite way to eat cauliflower ever. We were 8 & shared two desserts, a healthy taste for everyone. The service is friendly, casual & professional. This is the restaurant the West Island needs!
Amazing food, great wine selection, & accommodating to gluten free! Highly recommend
Amazing people creating an amazing experience!
Great wine choices both by glass & by bottle, with a delicious, fun & comfy menu!

Excellent food every time. Fresh ingredients, amazing service. The staff & owners are very attentive, extremely hardworking. Great wine & drink selection. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants.
1st dining experience at this restaurant. Enjoyed everything. Service, food, atmosphere, value. Oysters were from PEI excellent size, & presentation. Short Beef rib with Polenta & delicious dessert afterwards were fantastic. Good wine list & cocktails choices.
The ownership & staff were extremely welcoming. The food , service, cocktails & wine were all excellent. We will be back !
FABULOUS!! The food is beyond delish. The ambiance is fantastic. Wine is amazing. The best resto in the west island hands down!
The world is a better place with Bienheureux in it. Do yourself a favour, & eat here as soon as you can. Cocktails & wine list, unreal. Food, perfect every time. The experience as a whole makes your heart feel full. Thanks to the treasures Guillaume & Mario! You guys are the best!
Had dinner with my wife two Friday's ago for dinner. Everything was spot on; service, food, atmosphere. Had the cauliflower salad, burrata & the tartare. Spanish wine. Highlight was the tartare, but all three were sublime. Will return. Thanks to Guillaume & Mario for creating a formidable culinary experience/option in Sainte-Anne's that was a truly welcome addition to say the very least!
The variety of local produce & Guillaume's culinary skills are like a marriage made in heaven. Sweet quaint ambiance, beverages & wine selection are amazing. Fabulous Supporting local is important but I'd travel for this food .
