Excellent food every time. Fresh ingredients, amazing service.
Great wine & drink selection. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants.
Fantastic food & ambiance. Service was top notch. Majority of the items on the menu are Gluten-free, even the lobster cakes! (Gluten free panko) We had 3 starters to share & the bavette steak.
A must try. Will absolutly be going back.
We were visiting from Burlington, Ontario & given Restaurant Le Bienheureux as a suggestion to dine. Excellent recommendation. We enjoyed the food & atmosphere. It was raining so we didn't get to experience the patio but the indoor dining was fantastic. At the end of our delicious meal, we left our table to have an after dinner cocktail at the bar where we chatted with the staff who were knowledgeable & friendly throughout our dinner.
The food is always amazing & the service is incredible - it is our favorite restaurant !!!
The easiest 5 stars I've ever given. The atmosphere at this cozy, tiny resto bar is amazing! The owners were so friendly, attentive & courteous. It's obvious they love what they do & do what they love!
The food was worth every penny. I usually don't spend a lot on resto food places but I already can't wait to go back & try the other stuff on their menu.
They also make incredibly good cocktails with a personalized spin on every one!
Can't recommend this place enough. If you're going during the colder months, make a reservation cuz there's only room for about 15 people in the resto at a time when the terrasse is closed.
Food was delicious, The service was perfect.
My recommendation is the patio in case of rain. You need to rain proof it as you can't accommodate your clients inside if it does rain. I would have been very disappointed if it had rained & you would have boxed up my food & sent me home! In this case I would not have tipped, my poor server is the one impacted in this case.
Visited July 30th.
Lovely dinner patio atmosphere.
Delicious food & amazing service.
This was my second visit to Le Bienheureux, we decided to try the outdoor terrace. It's a really lovely spot overlooking the Sainte-Anne's canal & the boats, although it was quite packed. Bear in mind every restaurant has a terrace, we were sitting next to a pizzeria with kids running around in bathing suits all evening. There is also a small park next door with outdoor entertainment, a little distracting during conversation.
They definitely make the most of the space, so you may end up getting pretty familiar with the tables around you. We started with cocktails, which were very tasty & got things off to a good start. For our starter, we had the watermelon, feta, & bacon salad. It was refreshing, but it tasted mostly like watermelon, & at $19, I was hoping for a little more-maybe some dressing or a bit more balance. By the time it arrived, our cocktails had been finished for about 15 minutes, & we were hoping to order a glass of white wine to go with it, but our waitress seemed tied up struggling to open a bottle for the table next to us. The service felt a bit stretched throughout the evening, probably because the staff were busy & still finding their rhythm for the summer rush. That said, everyone was friendly & pleasant but you can tell the staff is inexperienced.
For our mains, we both had the onglet de boeuf, which was delicious. That said, at $45, it did feel a bit on the pricey side for some beef on a bed of asparagus.
It always annoys me when ordering wine by the glass & the server bringing the glass already poured to the table. Bring me an empty glass & the bottle so I can confirm that is what I ordered, let me sample it to make sure it is still good & then serve the wine. It's not that complicated.
Overall, Le Bienheureux is still one of the nicer dining options in the West Island (aka culinary wasteland), & the setting is hard to beat. I just wish the pricing & service felt a little more in line with the experience. It's convenient & charming, but for the same price, there are much stronger options downtown.
Sat at the counter with my wife. Service behind the counter (owner) was wonderful, very attentive while also ensuring the rest of the services to the customers were taken care of.
Started with the oysters, then shared tuna tataki & the hangar steak. All were wonderful.
We will be back as soon as we can.
Parking a little difficult during peak time but still worth the trip.
