Krood Poke & Tartares @restaurant.krood in Montreal completely knocked it out of the park, proving that ultra-fresh fish, brilliant textures, & bold flavor combinations are their absolute standard. Starting with the poke bowls, swapping in tuna for salmon on the Golden Hour Poke Bowl was a top-tier move. The tuna was absurdly fresh & tender, coated in a velvety creamy drizzle & layered over a colorful, texturally rich bed of crisp radish slices, crunchy edamame, sea salad, & golden fried shallots.

The Sunny Saum Poke Bowl was equally impressive & wildly addictive, packed with vibrant purple cabbage, sweet corn, fresh cilantro, & finished with a crunchy ramen-style noodle topping that added an incredible, satisfying crunch to every forkful.

The tartares kept the momentum going strong; the Classic Krood offered a rich, perfectly seasoned beef with all the fixings. A classic yet amazing combination of ingredients. Bright side salad studded with sweet cherry tomatoes & ruby-red pomegranate seeds, paired with plenty of warm, crusty toasted bread for scooping.

Meanwhile, the Chili Bang tartare brought a fiery, complex kick of heat, beautifully offset by a smooth chop & crowned with airy, light-as-air shrimp crackers that made every single bite a pure joy. From the eye-popping visual presentation to the generous portions & remarkably crisp ingredients, Krood delivers an unforgettable meal that easily solidifies it as an absolute must-visit spot in Montreal.

I got the sunny saum poke bowl & my boyfriend got the original beef tartare. We were both somewhat unimpressed. We found both dishes to be lacking in flavour. We also tried the bao buns, both tuna & salmon & they tasted the exact same.

I found the poke bowl to be overall a mix of ingredients with no distinct flavours aside from the pineapple, it all kind of melded together.

The beef tartare was not salty enough, & tasted like nothing.

Nothing we ate tasted bad, the highlight was the lemonade, they were really good & flavourful. We had the pink lemonade & the mango lemonade. I apologize for the half eaten photos, I will add that the portions were pretty generous & the prices reasonable. I think both meals were $23.50 each & the two buns were $12. Lemonade was $4.75.

I had a wonderful experience at Krood restaurant. I ordered the salmon tartare & it was absolutely fantastic, fresh, perfectly seasoned, & beautifully presented.

Whoa. My partner & I came here today & ordered takeout. The staff was friendly & the restaurant was very, very clean. Everything is very fresh & super tasty. I had the tofu poké bowl & my partner had the salmon tartare. We will definitely be coming back. The prices are fair as well for the portions. Great job team! ❤?

SO good! I wish I lived near here to experience it more often. I highly recommend the little bums & salmon tartare. The sunny salmon poke bowl was delicious as well, but I would order lighter on the mayo next time!

This place was amazing. I ate one of the best beef tartares I ever had, & had a watermelon mojito. My boyfriend ordered the salmon poké which was pretty good too. I highly recommend & would definitely go back soon.
