Olive et Gourmando's nocturnal sister: Foxy. Wood fired cooking paired with plenty of veggies. Charred flatbreads, grilled meat and fish. Rustic, seasonal, and honest. Cozy atmosphere and relaxed dress code. Welcoming young children for early service only.
Foxy draws praise across reviews for inventive, wood-fired cuisine and an open, intimate atmosphere, with the option to sit at the chef's counter to watch the action; dishes are described as flavorful and creative, with standouts like maitake mushrooms, bluefin tuna tartare, halibut, mussels and flatbread with feta, all showcasing seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and wood fire. The service is repeatedly noted as impeccable and friendly, though a few experiences mention occasional lapses or pressure during peak times. Pricing and portion sizes receive mixed feedback, some finding the value aligns with the high quality while others feel portions are small for the price. The ambiance, especially the terrace, is frequently praised, and cocktails receive strong reviews, making Foxy a standout Montreal dining destination despite seasonal or seating-based variability.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Veronica & her incredible staff. The service was impeccable-attentive, friendly, & truly made us feel at home. As for the food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, & beautifully presented.
It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers on all fronts, but this place truly does. If you're looking for an amazing dining experience with top-notch service & exceptional cuisine, this is the spot. Can't wait to come back!
Great service, good ambiance. You're always right up next to the action no matter where you are sitting thanks to the way that the seating is structured around the kitchen & the bar.
Listen to your host, they know a lot & they have fantastic specials. Bring your chef friends here.

If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Montreal, Foxy is an absolute must-visit. The ambiance is sleek & intimate, with a modern yet cozy feel, making it the perfect setting for a night out. The dim lighting & stylish decor create a relaxed, welcoming environment where you can truly enjoy the food & conversation.
I had the pleasure of trying several dishes, & each was an exceptional blend of flavors. The Maitake mushrooms with black garlic, garlic scape, & sunflower seeds were an absolute highlight - earthy, savory, & packed with umami in every bite. The Cauliflower with yogurt, tomato, & furikake provided a refreshing balance of creamy & tangy, while the Pavlova stole the show. The combination of yogurt, blood orange, endive, & lemon granita was the most incredible blend of citrus, sweet, & creamy I've ever had. It was a perfect way to end the meal, bright & refreshing with just the right touch of indulgence.
My friend opted for the Flatbread topped with tomato, eggplant, & buffalo stracciatella - a comforting yet elegant dish with a great balance of flavors. The Beef Carpaccio with fermented sunchoke, crème fraîche, & egg yolk was rich & tender, while the Mussels with celery, kombu, & focaccia were simply divine, delicate, & brimming with flavor.
The service was impeccable - our server was attentive, knowledgeable, & friendly, making the evening even more enjoyable. Every dish was presented beautifully, & the staff's recommendations were spot on.
Overall, Foxy offers a delightful combination of exquisite dishes, impeccable service, & a chic atmosphere that makes it a standout in Montreal's vibrant culinary scene. Highly recommended!
Food is amazing! We got 4 tapas to share (we're 2 people) & we were satisfied.
The flat bread was delicious & we got a mezcal cocktail called Clara, so good!!
I really recommend this place for a date
My daughter treated me to a lovely evening at Foxy. We were warmly welcomed by Véronique & were served by Geneviève, who was charming, efficient, & generous. The cocktail, meal, & desserts were interesting & very tasty! We are both vegetarians & enjoy the veggie options.

Warm atmosphere with dim lighting. The flatbread & maitake were exceptional. The carrot & cauliflower dishes were a bit firm, but overall all the dishes had good flavours. We would definitely eat here again!
This place is amazing, they have a seasonal menu which they update regularly with creative dishes & flavors. The part that made me recommend Foxy to my friends was the staff, especially the bartender & hostess, super friendly & helpful with suggestions.
Impeccable service, cool vibe, & a decent wine list. The food was overall okay but a bit pricey for its originality or portion, even considering that most of their dishes were tapas-style to share. For example, $24 for 6 oysters, which might be average in Griffintown but I saw many better price-quality. The duck was pretty good. The food menu is relatively small too.
Encore une fois, quelle belle expérience du début jusqu'à la fin de notre repas. Les saveurs de plats sont exquises! Ambiance feutrée & enveloppante avec un excellent service au table. À la prochaine!
First time & certainly not the last. Food was 10/10. Genevieve guided us & every recommended dish was better than the next. Honestly just delicious. As well all the wines she recommended & drinks were great .

Good spot for casual-chic dining. Service was great, & there's plenty of seating in this cozy restaurant. Their food menu varies & everything looked very fresh. We tried a few different dishes & they all tasted amazing.
I had a great experience here! We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who kindly accommodated us earlier than our reservation time. The service was impeccabla, attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is truly one of a kind, with the enticing aroma of the wood stove adding to the charm. If it's still on the menu, I highly recommend trying the maitake & beef carpaccio-absolutely phenomenal!
Food & drinks were great. We sat at the bar & Sabrina was our bartender- she was incredible! She made some great recommendations & really made the whole experience excellent. Would definitely recommend
