Olive et Gourmando's nocturnal sister: Foxy. Wood fired cooking paired with plenty of veggies. Charred flatbreads, grilled meat and fish. Rustic, seasonal, and honest. Cozy atmosphere and relaxed dress code. Welcoming young children for early service only.
Foxy draws praise across reviews for inventive, wood-fired cuisine and an open, intimate atmosphere, with the option to sit at the chef's counter to watch the action; dishes are described as flavorful and creative, with standouts like maitake mushrooms, bluefin tuna tartare, halibut, mussels and flatbread with feta, all showcasing seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and wood fire. The service is repeatedly noted as impeccable and friendly, though a few experiences mention occasional lapses or pressure during peak times. Pricing and portion sizes receive mixed feedback, some finding the value aligns with the high quality while others feel portions are small for the price. The ambiance, especially the terrace, is frequently praised, and cocktails receive strong reviews, making Foxy a standout Montreal dining destination despite seasonal or seating-based variability.
Top expérience. Première fois, certainement pas la dernière. Souper de fête avec mon garçon d'un an & demi & la famille. Staff hyper accueillant, bouffe remplie de saveurs & de textures, cocktails, mocktails & vin super aussi.
Merci !
Foxy is truly a special restaurant, world class in every regard. From the impeccable table service by our friendly & attentive server Martine, to the incredible well-deserved Michelin rated cocktails by Sabrina, our experience was by far the best we've had in all of Montreal! Each & every dish is sourced locally, with immaculate attention to detail & you can truly taste the difference as each is kissed with the love of the wood fire. Every dish was truly perfection! I highly recommend the whole fish char if it's available. Also, order the New Delhi cocktail, it will be one of the best you've ever had.
#1 restaurant in Montreal, hands down!

Definitely advise sitting at the chef's counter - so fun to see all the dishes go into the wood fire stove & all the artful presentations by the kitchen staff
Must order feta & pita & the Giuseppe's Garden cocktail. Shishito peppers were also great
My wife & I flew in to & were in Montreal for one night before heading north for vacation. My wife, always spot on with her due diligence, made last minute reservations for bar seating. We could not have dined at a better restaurant…the drinks, the food, the atmosphere, the staff. All fantastic. We sat at the bar & Sabrina mixed some wicked good cocktails & her wine recommendations to pair with our meal were spot on. She was witty, conversing & engaging, as was a'friend of the bar' sitting adjacent to us. The owner was present & leading by example, working alongside her staff. We had a moment to chat with her & extend a thank you for the wonderful experience. Gracious & humble she was. Not a recommended dining experience; but a must do dining experience.
A wonderful evening spent at Foxys. The food was incredible, flavour profiles & quality are hard to beat anywhere else. (The mussels & homemade feta were our favorite but everything else is just as delicious.)
The cocktails were exceptional just ask for Ashley! The rest of the staff were amazing & beyond. Incredibly professional, delicious & simply wonderful.
Amazing experience all together! Very personable & friendly staff, excellent service & unique meals & cocktails! This was a lovely find in Montreal! Would 100% recommend.
Had a fantastic evening, great atmosphere & cocktails. Only downside was that I left hungry despite having the dip & chips, feta salad & crab main dish. I think for the $$ I should have probably been full!

Food is amazing! We got 4 tapas to share (we're 2 people) & we were satisfied.
The flat bread was delicious & we got a mezcal cocktail called Clara, so good!!
I really recommend this place for a date
My daughter treated me to a lovely evening at Foxy. We were warmly welcomed by Véronique & were served by Geneviève, who was charming, efficient, & generous. The cocktail, meal, & desserts were interesting & very tasty! We are both vegetarians & enjoy the veggie options.
We sat at the bar where Antoine took care of us. He was super warm & fun to chat with & made great recs. Everything we put in our mouths was special. The New Delhi is the most unique cocktail I've had in recent memory. We ordered the carrot, the cappelletti, the chicken, & the maitake to start. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish. We aren't big dessert people, so we followed Antoine's suggestion to choose an additional small plate from the dinner menu, the homemade feta & squash dish, to wrap up the meal. It was perfect. The restaurant interior, like so many places in Montreal, is beautiful. It's dark & moody & romantic & is made even more enchanting by the warm smokiness of the wood burning oven. Highly recommend this spot.
Incredible dining experience. Delicious locally-driven food/drink, impeccable service, & cozy atmosphere. Cocktails & zero-proof options were extensive & top notch. Mentioned in Canada's 100 best this year, & well worth the recognition! They were very accommodating to dietary restrictions. We had a one-sided lactose intolerance, & I was impressed that the server immediately went through the menu & described in great detail what kind of dairy was in each dish & whether they could make accommodations. A nice touch & outstanding level of service & attention to detail that is very uncommon but hugely appreciated!
Rich indulgent dishes accompanied by fabulous wine menu. oysters served with home made smoky sauces. The lobster melange gave the ubiquitous shell fish a whole new look & taste & the hung steak melted into the unusual porcini mushroom butter. Daphne the mixilogist is as entertaining to talk to as to watch conjuring up bespoke cocktails designed to personal spirit taste. Smoky influenced decor, suggesting urban woodland perfectly complemented the dishes. Not cheap but if we had wanted cheap we would have gone to St Hubert's!
Very disappointed in this restaurant. I don't know where to start. While the waitress was very nice it took a very long time for us to be served. Special cocktails that we ordered & were recommended to us were very expensive, at least to me.
Every single dish that was brought to us was way too salty. I have never had this happen to every dish. From the flatbread to the ribs & Bavette .On top of that everything was too charred, leaving black pieces on our teeth. Maybe they were having an off night, but seriously ,they should try tasting the food before presenting it to clients.
