Review Summary

Restaurant Beba consistently earns praise as a premier culinary destination in Montreal, celebrated for its creative, Italian and Spanish-inspired Argentine menu and intimate, welcoming atmosphere. Many diners highlight the mackerel, foie gras stuffed dates, and flan as standout dishes that showcase high-quality, fresh ingredients and masterful execution. While the service is frequently described as warm, knowledgeable, and professional, a minority of guests have noted occasional inconsistencies in communication or food preparation. Although some visitors find the pricing high for the portion sizes or encounter a noisy environment, the overwhelming majority of reviews reflect a memorable, high-level dining experience that makes the restaurant a must-visit for food lovers.

Really miss Piquillo.
Beba, Small menu, only 3 mains & 2/3 were $55.
Rest were tapas $14 to about $25.

The Brussels sprouts were charred & served in an intense vinegary sauce. Shame that there was no vegetable taste, just burnt & vinegar.

Trout roe was good, served on a flatbread that was a bit too thick. A crepe would be more delicate.

The grilled Calmar & pork cheek was ok. Calmar was way overcooked, burnt in some places. Pork cheek appeared to be confit, tender but dry. Only a couple of bites so still hungry.

The worst was the loud reggae music. Not the right vibe at all for a supposedly upmarket cocktail & tapas place.
