This place has been on our list for a while, so we were really happy to finally make it to Beba. The restaurant is cozy & intimate, with a warm, welcoming vibe. We loved the open kitchen setup, & the staff were all incredibly friendly & welcoming from start to finish.
We went with the à la carte menu & ordered a little bit of everything. All three amuse-bouches were excellent, especially the knish with caviar, so good! The dates with foie gras were delicious, as was the mackerel appetizer.
For the table, we also had the duck ragu tagliatelle, bone marrow, & beef tongue with eggplant. We finished with the flan, which was a great way to end the meal.
Overall, a really lovely experience with excellent food, a great atmosphere, & wonderful service. We'll definitely be back.
We got the chefs menu. The food was exceptional. Caviar knish, montadito with mackeral, & dates were standouts. You cant go wrong with their dishes. We liked it over Joe Fish which was also really good but the food at Beba is certainly more creative. Staff were excetional, attentive with our every need. Never had an empty glass. Only suggestion is to turn up the AC on a warm summer night as it got warm during the dinner service.
This is a rare find. A restaurant with outstanding food, great service & reasonably priced. First, the restaurant is small & very simple. It is not fancy but the food is great. We tried the mackerel, the dates with foie gras, the pasta, the duck & the mushroom rice. Everything was excellent. We were four adults & shared everything.

Had Beba on my list for long-time. Finally check them out during this trip to Montreal.
Overall food items are all great tasted; service is fast, smart & warm. Dessert are definitely lacking some specialty, desserts are definitely bring this overall experience lower than otherwise a peak diner.
Star of the show is Guinea Fowl: best fowl/chicken dish I have ever had. Balanced saucing; perfect crispy skins; great presentation.
Worst dish: Dates stuffed with Foie Gros, pistachio. This ended up being the last dish served prior to dessert. & honestly it might be a dessert itself with how sweet it is. Foie Gros does not make sense in this dish, any other creamy substance would work the same.
Went to Restaurant Beba for a casual date night & had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The interior design is quite lovely & sets a nice mood for conversation. We were really impressed by the drink selection as well. It is rare to find a place that balances good food with such an excellent beverage program. Prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes & the quality of the service provided throughout the evening. Highly recommended.
The stuffed dates were amazing. So much flavour in one bite, but still very well balanced. The seafood salad feature was a pleasant surprise too. The rabbit was cooked perfectly. The ragu tagliatelle was really good, although the pasta could have used a little more salt. Both desserts were delicious as well.
Every single dish I tried was delicious. I really appreciate that they offer portion options for solo diners & it made it so much easier for me to be able to try a wider variety of dishes.
One thing that truly surprised me was the appetizer with dates & foie gras. I'm usually not a fan of foie gras, but since it was so highly recommended, I decided to give it a try-& it's definitely the one that suits my taste the most.
The steak & the clam & beans dish i had that day were also excellent. I'd love to come back & try their new menu!
Cozy small place, the food here is impeccable, all the dishes are clearly made with attention to every component & its combination. I LOVE FUN TASTES!! Fantastic service right from start, Mikaela at the door & through the dinner was incredible, super sweet & warm. Our bartender & waiter Nizar was fantastic as well & really gave us a great experience. 10/10 would come back again! Perfect for date night
