Excellent restaurant. Probably the best in Montreal & in Canada. Mackerel & beef tartare is out of this world. Our waitress was exceptional & service was overall incredible,. Highly recommend.

Overall, we thought the food was really nice, but the service was lacking. Our server was disinterested, rolled her eyes when we asked for bread (with a terrine), did not ask if we wanted more drinks --instead just took our glasses away,, & forgot to put an order through (causing a 15 minute delay) & did not apologize. It felt we were served in a way that did not show care for our experience, so we walked out disappointed. Several tables that night seemed to be friends with the staff & attention was paid to them. We would have expected better.

Along with my sister-in-law, we celebrated my husband's birthday at Beba. Everything from the wine suggestion, to the food, to the service, was impeccable. Everything that we ate & drank was delicious. The food was top notch. The staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. We three left satiated & happy. Highly recommended!

Beba lived up to its high expectation. Our server explained the menu flawlessly & took care of us. Some of the dishes were out of this world - - most notably maitake mushrooms with chick peas & bone marrow. & they had fernet with cola, which I hadn't had in over a decade, or last time in Argentina. Didn't realize how small the place was. Magesterial.
