It might not look like much from the outside but it is worth the hype. The food is flavorful without a dull bite, & I really enjoyed the plays in textures they worked with. We took some of their off-menu items, & they did not disappoint.
We were seated at the bar & enjoyed the conversation with the bartender, who was always eager to discuss food & (very good) drinks. Regarding their drinks menu, they had an interesting selection of cocktails (way beyond the ordinary), & also had a large selection of amaro (they were kind enough to let us taste before serving us a full glass).
Music was not too loud that we needed to shout, but enough that we couldn't hear other tables. Service was fast & precise. The change of plates & cutlery after every service was a nice touch. The local is quite small, which meant we could also enjoy the view of the kitchen quite easily from our bar seats.
Beautiful, tiny spot with world class service & inspired food. Detailed descriptions of the menu by our fantastic server lead us on a gastronomical journey of the highest level.
My only comment would be, for the main we had a very generous rabbit dish with brown butter & capers. The whole menu is very indulgent, it would have been nice to have some kind of a vegetable alongside such a rich offering as a main. There was endive mentioned in the description of the dish, but the endives were few, & wrapped in prosciutto, so they did not do much to compete.
We did order a'salad' but it was radicchio with soft potatoes loaded with a very rich dressing. My palette needed something to offset all of the butter.
I can understand the difficulties of offering a varied & constant changing menu, but ensuring there is some balance would have made me more likely to try a dessert.
Regardless, a fantastic & memorable meal at a lovely spot with excellent service.
Nourriture (empanada légendaire,'gnocchi' de ricotta & morilles, os à moelle, feuilles de vignes farcies... ), carte des vins, service, musique (surtout passé 10pm), tout est à re-commander à ce resto. Merci, merci, merciiiii 🎈

When I reached out about our dietary preferences, I never expected the level of care & effort you put into making our experience not just possible, but exceptional. The special menu you created was superb-every dish was delicious.
More than just the food, it was the way you welcomed us that made the evening so memorable. We never felt like an inconvenience-quite the opposite. Your kindness, hospitality, & attention to detail made my wife's birthday truly special. We left feeling so happy, & we can't wait to return.

While on a short stint in Montreal, I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Beba. This little gem seemed tucked away from our'Plateau' lodgings, but it was well worth the trip. We were greeted by an exceptionally warm staff & plate after plate left us in stunned silence. Aided by one of their delicious wines, we spent much of our evening doing our best barstool boogie to their near-perfect playlist. I want to give a special shoutout to Mel for treating us like old friends & honestly, I could eat the Maitake w Hollendaise dish until the end of time. Merci beaucoup!

The Pisco Sour was better then mine! Hard to accept.
I had the quail & appreciated the elegant & subtle flavour. The hot sauce served with the rabbit empanadas makes you speak languages you didnt know you knew. I could start a diet of bread & hot sauce, this one.
I loved the zabaglione because the sugar respects flavour & texture. Over attentive service, the bill well ballanced: Welcome to Verdun BEBA!

The service was excellent & the restaurant is quaint & low key but the food was definitely not worth the price. I had the special linguini with squids just to try something new & it was absolutely horrendous. I also don't eat lamb & half the menu was lamb. I just wasn't impressed with the food selection.
Une petite place à découvrir, service impeccable, suggestions de vins / cocktails & explications du menu A1. Plats originaux & ultra savoureux. Avec Pablo au bar qui était très attentionné & passionné! Un gros wow!!!!!!
Everything was INSANE! Every ingredient used was thought & the quality was insane! Each dish was explained with details of the techniques used & where did the products come from. It was crazy! We had two from the classique: the KNISH ; the cured mackerel on a sesame bun I.N.S.A.N.E it was soooo good! Like each flavour was perfectly balanced & everything came through! Third was the beef tartare! CRAZY! So fresh, herby, lemon, with the perfect garlicky well toasted sourdough! With ANCHOVIES! In a really comforting way it satisfied my PIZZA CRAVING! & the last was QUEBEC LAMB two ways. The first was lamb belly sandwiched & seared with black trumpet & there was the T bone equivalent of the lamb all served with sautéed greens topped with a pine nut+raisin+capers gremlot & a red wine jus! This whole experience was amazing & I am SO GRATEFUL! It was truly a WORK OF ART!
