Display Allramen(101) broth(15) spicy(13) miso(11) rich(10) soup(10) vegetarian(10) noodles(9) bowl(9)The food is alright, what I mean is that it is more or less on par with the rest of ramen restaurants out there but is grossly overpriced... Off the bat, their soup is roughly $5 (~20%) more than Kinton & other competitors out there & they gave you 2 slices of pork that's PAPER THIN. The broth is not particularly impactful/memorable either, is average. I tried Isshin a couple years ago in Ottawa & it was good & I gave it a 5 stars, but it wasn't $22/bowl with barely any ingredients in there, it was literally 2 thin slices, a bit of ground pork & some bean sprouts, not even a sheet of seaweed. For context, at the time of typing this, you can get a spicy ramen combo with gyoza & coke at Kinton for the same price. The "seafood" pancake is also disappointing, mushy & tiny, barely any seafood in there, very salty too. Overall, in terms of taste it is OK, in terms of value I won't be coming back.View more
Attentive service! Great spot to try new ramen flavours.View more
I was extremely pleasantly surprised. Serious contender for #1 ramen spot in Mtl right up there with Yokato Yokobai. Strongly recommend, I want this place to stick around!View more
Great little spot on Wellington if you're craving a quick fancy ramen.View more
I frequently eat at Ramen Isshin, I have loved all their options, but my favorite is their miso Ramen.View more
I strongly recommend to others! the service & the ambiance was amazing. The ramen reminded me of my trip to japan, if you are craving to experience an authentic Japanese ramen this is the place to go!View more
Had high hopes for this new restaurant but was sadly disappointed. We did not receive part of our order & I asked for another sauce for my gyoza but it never came. Service wasn't very active & we were never asked how our food was. My dish with rice & fried chicken(maybe pork?) Was bland & dry. The Ramen may be good but I won't be back to try it.View more
View more
View more
C'était un peu décevant...View more
Tried a very interesting type of ramen - cross bridge ramen, well I named it because it looked like cross bridge noodles in the Chinese version. I liked the food & service there with only one comment - it'd be great if you could accommodate clients' needs like less sodium, less oil. They couldn't because they said the broths were premade.View more
Amazing experience! We first noticed how comfy their indoor chairs are (like crazy comfy) & we greatly enjoyed their music Playlist. Then we received our food, Takoyaki (best takoyaki I've ever had), Kaarage chicken & our ramen. Everything was delicious & they had a decent beverage menu too which included multiple japanese beers. The only downside is that we were too full to try their desserts. Would highly recommend! Also, forgot to mention the service was A+!View more
Excellent ramen & lieu très sympa ! Les serveuses & serveurs sont très aimables.View more
Really decent shoyu ramen. I found the broth to be a bit less flavourful than I prefer, & the chashu pork was on the thin end of the spectrum. Noodles were on point. The egg's texture was good but it tasted a bit sweet for some reason. I'll probably return to try more of their menu.View more
Delicious ramen! I typically find ramen too heavy or greasy but none of that here. The soups were flavorful & complex. I got the red miso spicy soup & it was incredible. I will definitely be back!View more
I love ramen, & I've been visiting a lot of places in the city. When I first saw this new place near my house, I had to visit it. & boy, no disappointment. I tried a different version the ramen that is not offered in the most of the places, & I loved the tsukemen. My wife tried the vegetarian option, & it was one of the best vegetarian dishes that we tried so far. I highly recommend this place if you are a ramen lover like me.View more
I like the waitress speak three langues & they are really kind, I asked for shoyu kotteri I like it but it's really oily ramenView more
Very satisfied with the overall dine-in experience we had at Ramen Isshin Verdun! We ordered the Pork Gyoza & Korokke. Both plates had the right amount of crunch, the flavor was good & the pork in the gyoza was juicy. As for ramen we ordered the Red Dragon & the Spicy Shio with White Sesame. The broths were packed with flavor & really rich. The ramen noodles were perfectly chewy & the amount was good for the quantity of broth. The Red Dragon is really for the spicy lovers, it hits the right spot for a good spicy craving! For the price (approx. 18-22$/bowl) the portions are generous! Service is fast & good. The people that work there are kind & they patiently answered our questions. We will definitely come back to taste more from the menu :)View more
Such a good ramen !!! The broth, eggs, pork, are amazing !! Really tasty. We will come back for sure !!!View more
On s'y sent bien !View more
I've been to Ramen Isshin before but never wrote a review so this is me inaugurating the new Ramen Isshin/Nikolai era. This trip I decided to not pair my ginger ale with ramen but instead a rice based dish. The dish was still a banger sans soup & we love this chain's diverse dish range. This place is real nice & a complete 180 from the scary burger place that used to be at this address. Will be coming back for sure 🍚View more
Best Ramen i've ever has! Great customer service, the chef even came to ask us if it was good. Also, my mom said the vegetarian options are incredible!View more
Sin duda volveréView more
