I love ramen isshin. I tried the veg shoyu at this location because they have a promo for it. I don't think it's the best ramen they make. The flavour is almost as good as the other ones I've had at the other locations but the noodles were perfectly done as usual. Jacky was my waitress & she made the experience very pleasant 🍀💖
Although the taste of the ramen are decent & they have many varieties of ramen, I find the portions of ramen here are rather small. & this was a common concensus among us as we came as a group of 3 people a couple of weeks ago. All 3 of us felt the portions were rather tiny & we ended up eating another burger at a fast food joint nearly after the bowl of noodles we had... 😆🥲
The place is cute. Service was Amazing. He was super attentive. The food was great the takoyaki were the best I had in a while. I had the spicy miso ramen. The noodles texture were great. The broth was great, super tasty. It could have been more spicy though. I wasnt a fan of the dessert though. But overall I'd go back to try more ramen
The place is small, but nice & cozy. I ordered the tsukemen, never tried it before, & it was bold worth it, creamy texture, savoury, good noodle texture. I think my favourite ramen so far. The ramen with its ingredients is served cold & you add the broth (which is super hot) little by little & you get that mix of flavours at the end. In summary one of the best ramens.
A big highlight in MTL where I struggled to find a ramen I like
It just hit all the spot - this broth is far from bland, it's very concentrated salty but just a perfect deep for the noodle
The noodles are chewy & wavy
Easily one of the best ramens I have had in Montreal. The soft boiled egg was perfect & flavours came through till the last bite! Red Dragon is a a MUST. & happy hour between 4-7pm for certain drinks !
I had the chicken ramen-noodles were on point: smooth, silky, super satisfying. Loved that part. But the broth & chicken? Kinda fell flat. Could barely taste anything besides a hint of black pepper. Also, no chili oil or hot sauce on the table, which was a bummer. A little heat could've really brought it all together.
