Review Summary

Ramen Isshin is praised for deeply flavorful broths and chewy noodles, with options like red miso, spicy miso, vegan miso, shoyu and tsukemen, and generous portions that many diners appreciate, often with student discounts. The service is consistently friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is welcoming, though a few visits note it can be a bit chilly or crowded at peak times. This spot is regarded as one of the stronger ramen options in Montreal, offering variety from traditional bowls to desserts like kakigori, while some comments mention price versus value and occasionally inconsistent noodles or toppings. Overall, Ramen Isshin delivers reliable quality, a busy but lively vibe, and a memorable ramen experience that keeps guests coming back.

Vege spicy miso was good, i wish they had tantan black sesame chicken/beef instead of pork only. The $2 extra for spicy sauce wasn't worth it.

The noodles with dipping sauce was quite popular. The cocktail were pretty good too!

I had the chicken ramen-noodles were on point: smooth, silky, super satisfying. Loved that part. But the broth & chicken? Kinda fell flat. Could barely taste anything besides a hint of black pepper. Also, no chili oil or hot sauce on the table, which was a bummer. A little heat could've really brought it all together.

Ordered spicy white sesame shio ramen. I would highly recommend you order this instead of the regular white sesame shio ramen. The spicy oil isn't spicy at all but make the broth so much better. Overall is good but the bamboo feel like take out directly from the bag or container. If I was the cook I would cook with with store sauce to make flavor better. Small detail but I am a bamboo lover.

Overall still a good ramen in the town, this & sansotei & this would be my top options when I think of ramen.
