We were in the market for a really great steak for my partner who only rarely eats red meat (ha!) Provisions did not disappoint - the steaks were perfectly cooked, & all appetizers, sides & dessert were exceptional. He particularly enjoyed the mushrooms, & I was delighted by dessert (first time I have seen a baked Alaska on a menu in at least 2 decades - so charming). With 2 appetizers, 2 sides, 2 mains & 1 dessert, we maybe ordered too much! Our server was attentive & kind, & patient with recommendations. The only thing I would say was lacking was more non- or low-alcohol drink options, as we are not big drinkers.

We loved it so much, we went back the next day! The food, atmosphere & staff are amazing! Kadeem was our waiter & he did a great job of explaining the origins of the restaurant & he walked us through the process of selecting our steak & pork chop. The food is made to order & they offer the best selection of meats. The fries, salad, mushrooms & desserts all stand on their own & are fresh & well prepared as well. Reservations are recommended. We will definitely return on our next trip to Montreal!

Best burger In town, one of the best brisket sandwiches I've ever had, the fries are fresh & crispy & the prices are fair for the quality, simply delicious & perfect to take out & enjoy at the park! 2024 update: My wife & I celebrated our anniversary at provisions, we've enjoyed their sandwiches for a few years so we knew it was going to be great, & they absolutely exceeded our expectations, we ordered 2 entrees, scallop crudo & fried calamari, the crudo was perfectly balanced, not too acidic & super fresh & the calamari were fresh & crispy, topped with an olive & sun dried tomato tapenade with a marinara sauce on the side, then my wife ordered, in her own words, one of the best beef tartares in Montreal, the avocado gave it a nice & creamy texture & the seasoning was perfect. I ordered the steak & frites & it was absolutely incredible, cooked to perfection & seasoned on point with a delicious warm sauce on the side & perfectly crispy fries. All of this paired with a great Pinot noir recommended by the Maitre & for a dessert a super creative & delicious dessert. All of this added to the excellent ambiance & music made a lovely & memorable experience for us, we strongly recommend provisions & we're surely return very soon!
