Primo & Secondo offre une expérience culinaire italienne authentique, où chaque plat est conçu avec des ingrédients frais et une grande maîtrise des textures et des saveurs; les raviolis fondent littéralement, le risotto aux champignons est crémeux et réconfortant, et les pappardelle au ragù ainsi que les entrées comme les figues et les poivrons farcis sont souvent cités comme des sommets. Le service est attentif et chaleureux, l'ambiance calme et élégante, et la carte des vins complète parfaitement le repas. Bien que le prix soit parfois jugé élevé, la qualité et la constance de l'expérience justifient le coût. L'ensemble s'avère idéal pour des repas en famille, entre amis ou en tête à tête, avec des portions généreuses et une présentation sobre mais raffinée, faisant de ce lieu une référence pour la cuisine italienne à Montréal. L'ardoise change au gré des saisons ajoute une touche de fraîcheur à l'offre.
Excellent. One of the best Italian restaurants (if not the best) that I've been to. Small local & authentic place. Staff was excellent. Gluten free options. Highly recommended!

Bel accueil. Les portions sont généreuses. Nous avions pris des entrées. Visuellement appétissantes, mais les goûts n'étaient pas au rv. Repas principal, vaut le détour !

We stopped in unexpectedly without a reservation. The staff amazingly found a table for us with the caviate that we needed to finish our meal in 90 minutes. No problem as we were very hungry & we knew they were working hard to accommodate us. Our meals were incredible & very well prepared. Our server was equally outstanding making us feel very welcome while she explained the menu to us. We highly recommend this restaurant & will return again.

We were four guests. We all found the food experience was very uneven & disappointing. The service was excellent, & except for asking the AC to be turned off , since it was a cool evening outside, the atmosphere was fine. The food is another story. Both the salmon tartare, & especially the lamps chops, suffered from lack of taste. Not the overall dish, but the main ingredient could have been anything at all. The lamb chops in a brown sauce, completely got rid of any tase of lamb. We were shocked with what the chef did. Lamb has a distinct taste that shines unless deleted, which was what we found. The sauce was also more of a soup. & at 59$ for three small & unevenly cooked pieces of meat, we were extremely disappointed. The tartare had the same effect, no taste of salmon. So two proteins that are enjoyed for their inherent flavour, were thrown under the bus. The stuffed zucchini flowers were excellent, as were the stuffed figs. The pasta norma was plain & unremarkable.The tomato salad was superb.
We were sad that nothing really lived up to the hype in the introduction to the restaurant. Some things are due to a bad day, but specific decisions - like the smothered & overcooked lamb - tell us that we cannot recommend this restaurant to any of our friends. & we could not see ourselves coming back.
This was my go to spot pre Covid. Haven’t been there since unfortunately. Mushroom risotto was on point arguably the best in the city, the clam pasta was decent. Appetizers were all great, zucchini flower, figs. Prices are high but where hasn’t it increased. Service was good but the vibes from the old staff way better, new younger waiter was a bit off imho. Would only repeat if owner/cook is there.
Risotto est trop salé, je ne peux même pas manger une 3è cuillère. J’ai parlé cela à la serveuse mais elle n’a pas donné aucune réponse. Autrement les vins, services & atmosphère sont bons.
