Porto Mar Restaurant propose une cuisine portugaise authentique dans une ambiance chaleureuse et détendue dans le Vieux-Montréal, avec un personnel attentif et sympathique qui donne une impression accueillante. Went here last night in the Old Port & had such a great experience at Porto Mar. You need to check them out ASAP!
Our server Alex was super chill & attentive, & one of the owners, Melanie, came by & was incredibly kind. We even got the chance to speak with the chef, which made the whole experience feel really personal.
Food-wise, everything was fresh & full of flavor. The spicy shrimp were a standout so delicious, I'd go back just for those. I had the turbot (yes, it's a real fish 😂) & it was cooked perfectly. The potatoes on the side were also amazing.
We also had a seafood medley with rice (loaded with clams, mussels, shrimp, salmon, cod basically everything) & it was super saucy & satisfying.
Drinks were on point too loved my old fashioned.
To finish, we had a porto-braised pear with ice cream & it was honestly the perfect dessert.
Beautiful location, especially if you can grab a window seat. Definitely a spot we'll be going back to.
Wonderful find! Friendly & welcoming staff. Food was delicious. We had the grilled octopus & the turbo fish. Both were very tasty & the grilled sardines were delicious. Great house wine too. We will be back! Obrigado!
Celina is an amazing hostess, server, she makes your evening special. Thd food is authentic & wonderful. The ambiance is 100 % old Montréal. Parking can be challenging but it is worth it
Un mardi midi... Au hasard d'une promenade, nous sommes entrés. Un accueil & un service chaleureux, une cuisine fidèle à la tradition & des attentions qui font chaud au coeur.
5 little grilled shrimp around a stack of rice for $34 bucks, eh. The balsamic snails were good, but the grilled sardines were a little fishy & we left hungry. Nice ambiance & service though. From what I hear, family owned.
We are a three-generation family of 7 who dined here on New Years Eve. We had an awesome experience. The restaurant served a pre-fixed menu & obviously planned to serve us from 8:00-midnight. They provided noisemakers & hats, wonderful food & an inviting atmosphere. The table was set against a lovely window in a semi-private space, making it easy for my hard-of-hearing father to hear. Our server, Alex, was attentive & professional with just the right hint of warmth. We creating a lasting memory of sharing a special NYE together with the help of the staff at Porto Mar. Thank you for your care for us!

Les tarifs sont dans la norme des restaurants pour ce secteur & la nourriture est bonne. Bien que pas encore au niveau de la vraie cuisine portugaise (notamment niveau cuisson), étant originaire du Portugal.

This was an amazing experience. Being the daughter of parents born in the Azores this was really authentic. Chef Luis visited our table & was an absolute pleasure. This is definitely a must.
Absolutely in love with the omniance of this restaurant. Beautiful location! Incredible wait staff. & the food is delicious. Simple recipes with quality ingredients. The escargot was probably one of my favorite things from tonight's meal.
The food was nothing special. Huge servings but left green beans in my fridge that had more flavour & anyone can poach a salmon & add fresh dill. We had the crème caramel for dessert & mine came with a piece cracked off. My crème caramel is way better! Best thing was the coffee-Nespresso ! Hide the machine !

Our server, Selena, was gracious & amazing, & Chef Luis, the owner, prepared a fabulous meal & made us feel so welcome!
