Lots of variety on the menu. Everything was good Very attentive service.Voir plus
Great place for a romantic dinner! The service was exceptional, waiters checked in on us multiple times throughout our dinner. The food was amazing. Recommend the onion soup, cavatelli & sea bream. To finish off we had the crème caramel which was delicious. The bread basket was quite small but they'll bring you more if you ask for it. 10/10 recommend.Voir plus
Amazing food! Especially the starters. The sweetbreads starter is such an experience, comforting, filling & warming. Definitely must try. Another starter we loved are the beets. Everything on the plate came together so well & the taste was amazing. The staff was very friendly & we loved the ambience. The place was very clean. We liked the meat too but would have gone for more cooked. I would say the meat is pretty good on its own & doesn't need the 3 sauces they serve with it. Overall we had a very nice date night, thank you!Voir plus
Excellent service, friendly, efficient & attentive. Had a three course meal in under an hour. Beef tartare was delicious, a little salty but still great. Cavatelli was alright, felt like something was missing. I only later realized that according to the menu there was supposed to be pancetta which would have definitely increased the flavour, but was forgotten. Paris Brest was fantastic, creative mix of flavours & textures, best I've ever had. Decor is cute, simple French cafe style & music. Beau plus tard was a very well crafted cocktail. Like the individual washrooms but there weren't locks?Voir plus
Came for drinks & appetizers. Cocktails were very good, though not amazing. Need tartare was excellent, but the portion was a bit stingy for the price. The decor is sleek & modern, but a little spartan.Voir plus
Very good steaks, the staff are very nice & helpfulVoir plus
Place Carmin was a wonderful introduction to French fine dining. The foie gras & the berry compote wonderfully complemented each other - do ask for an extra basket of bread, you will need it (also their butter is divine). The duck l'orange was tender & perfectly cooked with a tangy, orangy glaze. The chocolate tart was wonderfully decadent. The portions are appropriate for the price range.Voir plus
Le menu du midi à 40$ & de toute beauté ! Un super accueil & un super service...c était une 3e visite chez vous & je reviendrai.Voir plus
I have duck... it's amazing, if can a bit less salty, that will be all 5 starsVoir plus

Super Brasserie française!!! Soirée formidable, service & nourriture impeccable.Voir plus
Great food. Mushroom soup was amazing. I tried the orange duck, full of soya sauce that totally covered the flavor, didn't really taste the orange. Overall, really good experience.Voir plus
A1 dinner, really nothing to say. Service was immaculate & all the dishes were really good. On top of the restaurants I've been to in Montreal! Amex card acceptedVoir plus
We're kicking ourselves for not coming here sooner since we already knew Francois Nadon's other 2 gems: Bouillon Bilk, consistently one of the best restaurants in town, & his more casual place Cadet which serves equally inspired food at somewhat more modest prices. Place Carmin is more affordable again, in this case serving classic French bistro dishes with an unexpected level of refinement. It's all in the execution... I'm very curious about his onion soup (haven't had one for decades) but elected to start with a scallop ceviche that may be the best I've ever had. A hint of lemon & paper thin slices of a mildly spicy radish complemented the flavors & textures of the raw scallops perfectly. The dorade was a generous portion with nicely crispy skin. We had no room for dessert. The bill rose to $300 not including tip since we couldn't resist a superb Knoll gruner that accounted for half of it. Actually, the wine list is notable for having so many good choices under $100 & even under $80. This place is an easy recommendation for foodies & casual diners alike.Voir plus
I came here for a party. The food was outstanding. I got the smoke salmon appetizer, the sea bream & cream caramel dessert. Everything was cooked & seasoned perfectly. I will definitely be returning to this location.Voir plus
