The waitress was confused, she was coming to see us too often when we had asked her if we could have a drink first & order later & service was really slow & she made mistakes.
We have been going to magpie for years when visiting Montreal. The pizza is delicious. This last visit I had the gluten free crust with my choice of pizza. It was delicious & so wonderful to eat an entire pizza. Delicious.
Nous avons demandé la facture a la serveuse. Elle est passé au moins 5 reprises a coté de notre table, voyant bien qu'elle était vide, mais ne nous a pas apporté notre facture. Après 15 min, nous nous sommes levé & avons payer au comptoir. La serveuse préférait jaser avec les autres employés au lieu de s'assurer que les clients étaient satisfaits. Très déçue du service
My only drawback is the magpie Caesar it seems a lot smaller than it was & the toppings had just a little onion not how it was done preciously. I know because we always order it & it's been years. Not sure if it was a new bartender or you have cut back
Missed the beet salad/the kale salad from years past. The green salad felt kind of disappointing. Also lack of mushroom-based veggie pizza options made me sad. Otherwise it was a very lovely, close to perfect experience.

I rated the service 3 stars as I felt our server was super busy & doing the best he could (5 stars to him) But the other staffer that were assigned to the floor weren't attentive or offering help to share the workload.
I feel better teamwork would ensure faster service & better experience overall :-)
Food was delicious, vibes of the restaurant were great & we had a beautiful table. Unfortunately our waiter was very inattentive, made strange uncomfortable comments & our service was very slow. We saw our food sitting on the counter for several minutes, the server went over & looked at the ticket & just walked away.
Loved the service, but don't expect it to be fast! Great little spot with food that was really tasty. We asked for a handful of arugula to add on top of our pizza (who wouldn't) & the waiter returned with a nice plate full & a splash of pesto to complement the dish. Was AMAZING!
