Found this nice warm pizzeria in Mile End after a party close by. Friendly service, good wines, & excellent food. I particularly liked the meatballs (polpetta). Recommended!
At the end of a Wednesday evening dining in Mile End, we stopped, ordered the Bolognese & a tiramisu to go, & sat at the cute bar for a glass of wine. We met Matthew & Clara, had a wonderful conversation & simply enjoyed the ambiance. The food was delicious when we got back, but we'll remember the hospitality of them both at least as much as Magpie's food.
Waitress nice, but not very attentionate (did not offer 2nd glass of wine, dessert - the other waiter did offer) & during payment at the end left us with the interac machine as we were paying without thanking us, the machine was left on the table for over 30 min. & was still there when we left...)
Incredible pizza & the staff & service were even better - efficient, friendly & kind with a sense of humor. If I lived in Montreal, Magpie would be my go-to for a pie & glass of wine. The dum-dums were a fun touch! We had a great evening. Thanks for the memory!

We are addicted to find & compare the best pizza. In Montreal, Magpie offers the most generous ones, their meet balls one is juicy & rich, their 3 cheese is simply delicious. We missed their artichoke pizza, but everything else, from the Caesar salad to the service & wine, is a second home.
This is a gem of a restaurant just off the beaten path. Cute interior design, friendly bilingual staff, open air concept that seats enough people to make it interesting for people watching. Thin-crust pizza with fresh & tasty toppings. Custom able for food restrictions. A good selection of wines by the bottle. A great evening!
We recently dined in this neighbourhood pizzeria, we enjoyed the fresh atmosphere & local flavour of clientele. Greeted quickly & shown our table & were served by enthusiastic waitress . Meatball & meat pasta dish were very good although the pasta was the best , we selected 2 pizza & shared both toppings fresh , the pizza dow is more like a crusty Italian bread not as moist ex ; Napoilitaine pizza taste so for myself bit disappointed but my friends enjoyed & no qualms. We choice opening price wine $42 was suitable with pizza !
