Delicious they don't scrimp on the pepperoni & the base sauce is beautiful. Loved the chatter from the open kitchen gave great atmosphere. Great service !
Popped into Pizza Toni while visiting Mile End, the joint is compact but considered in its lay out. The buzz hit us as soon as we entered, place was full of energy & the open kitchen added to the atmosphere.
We were served by a young lady who was incredibly helpful in making sure we got the best choice of pies. The charring on the pie along with the house sauce is on point & can easily sell this alone. Definitely worth going out your way if you love great pizza.
Service is brick,t hey treat you like family the second you walk in. But word to mother, this crust is buggin It's thinner than a MetroCard. I'm out here eating cheese & sauce off my lap because the base gave up on life 10/10 for the hospitality, though.
Craving a taste of Brooklyn right in the heart of Mile End? 🍕✨
Pizza Toni on Saint-Viateur is serving up what many call the best New York-style slice outside of NYC. Whether you're grabbing a quick'car slice' or sitting down to a full pie, that signature crunch & slightly sweet sauce are absolute game-changers.
Did you know? 💡 Pizza Toni was founded by the same team behind the legendary Falafel Yoni. To make sure they nailed the authentic NYC vibe, the owners actually trained with seasoned pizzaiolos in Los Angeles & Villeray before opening!
Our personal favorite? The'Grandma' Square Slice. It's thick, rustic, & has those perfectly crisp, burnt edges that every pizza lover dreams of. Pair it with one of their custom house pilsners & you've got the ultimate Montreal lunch. 🍺🗽
Drop a 🍕 in the comments if you're a thin-crust purist or a square-slice devotee!

Rien à a dire.
You've had pizza Toni but have you had pizza toni takeout, straight out the oven New York style?
That's the only way I'm gonna enjoy pizza Toni now.
The warm crispy slice with perfect load of sauce & cheese was perfect last night. Honestly FANTASTIC.
I love y that you guys have little knickknacks too like the rolling papers, magnets & stickers. Cheers
First time there I tried the mushroom slice it was divine! Very unique & tops any NY style pizza Ive tried! I also tried it with their white signature sauce dip that you order extra, it was really good
One of the best slices I've had in my life. Tried the grandmother style pepperoni square slice, & the classic pepperoni & pepperoni & vodka sauce.
I cant recommend this place enough!
This is right up there with Toronto institution Badiali.
Insanely good, I can't wait to go back. Get the garlic dipping sauce.
Pizza Toni had come highly recommended but after visiting & tasting a couple of slices I'm left scratching my head.
The pizzas looked beautiful but I thought both the classic cheese & the vodka pep both really lacked in flavour & were honestly quite bland. From the sauce to the cheese, even the pepperoni, had no punch & overall salt levels were too low.
Credit to the dough though I thought both the classic cheese had a great crispy crust & I really enjoyed the crust & chew on the square slice.
I really wanted to enjoy Pizza Toni, maybe I overhyped it too much, maybe I got two mediocre slices.
Great pizza place, I got the vodka pepperoni pizza. Good amount of sauce, crust was amazing.
Nice place for a quick slice of thin crust pizza. The sauce is what makes it worth the trip. It's pretty darn good.
Fantastic vegan pizza with a rare dairy-free cheese, delicious sauce, proper crust. Great place.
Review: Pizza Toni
I tried a half Margherita & half pepperoni pizza for $40.
The dough was thin & crispy, but unfortunately, it tasted like a piece of cheap toasted bread. Actually, it was pretty similar to the dough you might find on certain frozen pizzas from your local IGA. Not a far stretch at all.
The pizza didn't have much sauce & was very dry. The little sauce that was there had almost no flavor.
The basil was fresh.
The cheese? Honestly, I don't even remember tasting any. I barely saw any cheese on the pizza either.
Overall, I'd give the Margherita a 6 out of 10. The one good thing was the oil they used, which did have a nice flavor.
Now for the pepperoni side. They used tiny pieces of pepperoni, & the dough had the same issue. It just tasted cheap. Again, barely any sauce & cheese, & what was there was bland.
This place is definitely overrated & overpriced for what you get. Overall, I'd rate this place a 6 out of 10. Rating this place a 6 is me being generous.
Would I go back? Definitely No.
The few times I've passed by this place it has always been reasonably busy, so I had some expectations based on the hype. My review is very subjective as I am not too much of a fan of this style of thin, crispy pizza. I favour a thicker, softer pizza personally. I went for the Vodka pep slice. The ingredients were good, tasty sauce but I felt like the cheese was too light for my liking & the overall crispy texture of the pizza just wasn't for me. Service was acceptable, they managed the high demand well. I like the interior set up including the sink to get the grease off your hands before you leave.
I really don't get what's so special about this place. The food is okay, but stingy on the toppings, very thin crust (I guess that's what people look for in a'NYC' style pizza), a bit pricey for smallish slices but it is an expensive neighborhood. The sauce was kinda nice. Really shows you the power of proper marketing.
Inhaled the pizza in less than 10 minutes so it's fair to say that the food is great. Had the pizza delivered so the crust came in a bit cold since I ordered during winter, but I've been there in person & the vibes were great. Cozy atmosphere, a bit small but the fantastic pizzas & dipping sauces make up for it (did not know ranch & pizza could actually go so well together)
Ps: Their hot honey is 🥰
