The food is good except for the pho, as the broth is just very'meh.' Not much flavor. I much prefer the broth from I Am Pho which is fragrant & aromatic. Other items on the menu are really good & great value for the money. Service is quick. This is by no means a fine dining restaurant but that's not what I'm after so I'm fine with it.
I am fr Vegas visiting the lovely city...Came in at 5pm around dinner time..This Pho Bang Bang is busy! The Asian waiters here have no communication w customers...He takes ur order, bring food out..you eat..Pay n go...No customers service...i guess they r busy bcuz not too many Vietnamese great food in this town...so this is the only choice people have...The food very plain taste when come to pho...or noodle w grill shrimp. The waiters need to smile n greet customers..not in a bad mood all the time...if u cant do tht, this is not a job fr you !
I used to come here over a decade ago. Same menu, virtually the same prices, same cash only policy, even the same servers! I always get #1 small pho. Pho is fragrant, beef has depth, plenty of onion, scallion & cilantro to give it punchy flavour. Service is fast, too! Extra bonus: bathrooms are sooooo clean!!!

Paiement cash qui n'est pas indiqué à l'entrée.
Pour toutes ces raisons je n'y retournerai pas.
The restaurant only accepts cash, which already felt suspicious. They have an ATM inside, but it charges a $3 fee.
The worst part was what happened after I paid. Tipping is not mandatory, a staff member followed me all the way to the entrance asking for a tip. After I gave one, they said it wasn't enough & kept asking for more. I felt pressured & very uncomfortable.
The pho was good, but no customer should ever be pressured into tipping. I won't be coming back.
Decent food with welcome pot of green tea for our table of 3 people, but sleazy with money! Our bill was 55 CAD for 1 appetizer, 2.5 pho bowls & 3 drinks. When I realized they only accept cash (no credit cards), I asked the server if they accept USD. He came back & said the rate would be 1.3 (instead of 1.4). I agreed, went up to the counter & gave him 100 USD bill. He then tells me that he has exchanged the money on 63 CAD after adding an automatic 15% tip! It felt a bit awkward but no big deal, I quietly took the change of 47 USD & left the restaurant. Later, I realized that 53 USD in exchange for 63 CAD is actually a rate of 1.18 & not 1.3 as agreed. I couldn't believe it! & I certainly don't want to think about what goes on behind the scenes in the kitchen!
Pho Bang has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. I have tried many different things on the menu, all of them delicious. Specifically, the vermicelli noodles with chicken & beef, adding peanut sauce & hoisin, is a true delicacy. The Ox Tail soup us also delicious. When I am in the city. I always make a point of eating here, sometimes more than twice.
