Food was not that great. Never had a pork chop that tastes so sweet before. I have had more authentic pho from New York, Philly & San Diego. The service was very poor. The waiter has an attitude problem.View more
My favorite pho place, its my go to when im craving pho!View more
Best pho in town no doubt I have been coming here for more than 15 years this place existed since 1996 & have been serving the best pho prices extremely low & affordable cash only tho but you need to try their oxtail beef & shrimp soupView more
Went to the first Pho Bang in NYC which has been open for decades now. Now it's expanding to Montreal. Quality has decreased slightly but overall good. Priced has increased quite a bit.View more
It was lunch time on a Sunday & craving for some authentic pho. Most of the nearby restaurants have long lineups & we traded for Pho Bang New York with no line up, & it was getting late. We ordered 2 identical medium Size rare beef Pho, nothing sophisticated & basic in order that we can get our order fast. What is basic for one is not basic for others as it took a long time to get just 2 bowls of Pho. The soup was hot but not boiling hot as I would have expected. Taste was just OK, & the amount of meat was satisfactory. I was sitting at the end table facing the kitchen entrance & I can tell you that the sight was not a good one. I can tell when hygiene is not on the top priority list. I hate to visualize how the interior kitchen would look like. We finished our lunch & went to the cashier to foot the bill & a sign " Cash Only" took me by total surprise. I do not always carry cash on me but luckily I had just enough to settle the bill. I subsequently read the reviews & crystal clear that I am not the only one caught with the Cash Only situation. This teaches me a lesson of not reading the reviews before going in a restaurant or business.View more
We choose pho for dinner. It was so good. The broth rich but not too bold suitable with the spices..i will recommend if the weather cold that would be perfect 😄✌️View more
It was a cool October Montreal day & we wanted some Pho to warm us up after several hours of sight seeing. The menu had great selection but 3 of us ordered the #1 (special Pho) & the 4th ordered the #42 (shrimp & vegetable Pho). It was super busy & lined up around lunch but tables turn over quickly & we were seated after about 15 mins. The Pho was pretty average. However the service was a bit below par. One of our group wanted a fork & we had to ask no less than 4 times for one. Also, we wanted a tea pot refill & they took away the pot but never returned it until we skied them twice. Pricing was fair for what you got with most dishes around $15. Note they only accept cash so make sure you bring $ or you can always use the ATM next to the till for an exorbitant fee 😆View more
It's my favorite pho place in Montreal! The price is so worth it & delicious!! They give a lot of meat as well! I've come here for over 10 years, & it never disappoints. My only disappointment, however, is due to a young staff that has no manners. I don't particularly mind the person not having steady hands to put the bowls down on the table, but they didn't even apologized when they spilled all over my relative's phone. My family & I were served by this young staff for the past 4 visits this year & the behavior only got worse... Being clumsy is one thing, but surely apologizing should be something everyone should do when they make an evident mistake... at the very least, I hope I get served by the older waiters because of this. Take note that they only accept cash here. If you don't have cash, there is an ATM in the restaurant.View more
L'un des meilleurs pho pour moi a montreal, super rapide & super bon.View more
I used to come here often but my recent trip was somewhat disappointing. Food came out super fast which was great. However, I found the pho broth salty & my partner's rice was overcooked (mushy). The flavour of the lemongrass beef was amazing though & the imperial rolls were good too. We had to signal several times for water & cutlery & got a hand dismissing us at one point. If you're in the area & want good Vietnamese I would come here but do not go out of your way when there are so many other places around the city.View more
View more
Le meilleur restaurant pour une soupe phô. Tellement bonne & authentique 💕View more
Good average pho place, nothing spectacular, but decent. Typical chinatown service. I kinda like the hectic atmosphere, not for everyone but I lived in chinatown in hawaii for many years so it felt kinda homey. Cash only place so be prepared with a few queen elizabeths in your wallet.View more
Pho was good, everything else was just ok. Seemed like a local spot for a lot of people. Maybe we didn't know what to order, but it was just average, disappointingly.View more
Came here multiple times to eat! Very great place for phõ, one of the best in the city. I always order the #9, rare beef & tripe. Although the soup is delicious, the service isn't the best. We waited around 20 mins for our water & my friend never got his soda. Overall, it's a great place for delicious phõ!View more
I am from NYC & love this restaurant. More importantly, my kids love this restaurant. This restaurant introduced my kids to Vietnamese food. We went two years in a row. I had #15 Grilled beef, my son #14 Beef & Chicken, my wife the Pho, daughter noodles & broth. All was good.View more
Food tasted great! My wife had the pho & I had the grilled pork & shrimp with rice. Servers were busy, not really approachable, but attention to small details.View more
If you want to find a place that is cheap & wants to be filled you won't be disappointed. The pho here is good. The only issue I have with the service is that it is cash only, there is an ATM within the restaurant but it has a service charge of $2.65.View more
Pho was the best after PHO75 in D.C. Rice sauce was no.1 for me. My kids love the food.View more
Simple & savoureux! Argent comptant seulement.View more
If you are a carnivore you WILL love this, but if you are Bun Bo Hue fans, you won't.... Came here on a Friday where this dish is only on 3 days--Friday, Sat & Sun. The place was hopping busy. The entire time I was there & when I left people kept coming. By comparison the Pho Bac across the street which has slightly higher rating on Google was mostly empty when I passed by. Anyway I've eaten plenty of Bun Bo Hue including some in Hue, Central Vietnam, the version here is absolutely nothing like what I had before. Typically this dish commonly found ingredients are pigs blood & knuckle, tendon sometimes, special spices etc. Here's it's just sliced beef brisket, oxtails & beef shanks (& lots & lots of it). Don't get me wrong the aroma, flavor & taste were excellent but it more resembles like a spicier pho dac biet than BBH. Though I initially really enjoyed my dish which at 17+CAD was very good value but towards the end I felt like the guy from BeardMeats Food trying to finish an enormous dish. This is the only time I didn't finish the meat in ANY Vietnamese restaurants. As tender as the shanks were, it's just too much. See photo.View more
Many people told me that good pho can be found here & I do like it. For a small sized woman small is good but not super filling, beef came with generous amount. The salt lemonade is pretty refreshing but for personal taste I wished it come with more lemon. One thing to notice is it's a cash money restaurant, if you are a person like me who only bring a 5 dollar cash in wallet, there is a atm inside the restaurant but with extra transaction fee.View more
When pho didn't double in price, you know there's still hope. The soup has good meat content but they reduced the variety of cuts in it, it's also a lighter taste. Service is meh, we didn't get tea, had to ask thrice for rice. But good bang for you buck.View more
