I love this Pho place. The price is right, the portions are big & the service is one of the fastest in town. The pho is delicious & the spicy weekend special pho is even better. I almost never have to wait for a table. One of the best spots in Chinatown imo. They have been accommodating of my food restrictions, which I appreciate a lot.
Please note they only take cash but they have an ATM next to the area where you go to pay.View more
Pho Bang New York is hands down the best spot for authentic Vietnamese pho in Chinatown. As a loyal customer for the past three years, I can confidently say that their quality never wavers-every visit delivers the same delicious, consistent flavors that keep me coming back.
One thing to note is that it's a cash-only establishment, but they do have an ATM inside for convenience (just be aware of the small service fee). Despite this minor inconvenience, the fantastic food & reliable experience make it well worth it.
If you're looking for a no-frills, dependable pho spot in Chinatown, Pho Bang New York is the place to go!View more

It's payment is cash though, but there is atm machine inside the restaurant.View more
My family & I have been regulars at this restaurant for years, always leaving a decent tip & never encountering any issues. However, today it was bad. We were seated by a bearded waiter, as usual, & ordered both dine-in & take-out meals. After enjoying our food, we headed to the counter only to realize we were $1 short, + tip. Since the ATM was broken during our last visit, we assumed it still was. The lady at the cash register didn't speak to us, just stared rudely & pointed at the total. We tried to explain that we were short by a dollar, she only uttered a few incomprehensible words & gave us a cold look. Then, a waiter from our table approached us & bluntly said, "Total & plus tip" in a rude manner. It seemed like he didn't understand that we were already trying to figure that out. To make matters worse, I heard him talking about us to the other waiters, which was embarrassing given how frequently we dine there & how polite we always are. Fortunately, the ATM wasn't broken this time, so we withdrew $20 & got change for the tip. Despite this, one of the waiters continued to glare at us angrily. Initially, we left a $4 tip but decided to reduce it to $2 due to the poor customer service & lack of communication. At this point, the waiter told me, "Next time, $2 more tip or don't come back," in an aggressive tone. I asked him to calm down, but he kept following us toward the exit. It was an uncomfortable & strange experience. While this restaurant was once a favorite, the unprofessional & rude behavior from the staff means we won't be returning.View more
It was a cool October Montreal day & we wanted some Pho to warm us up after several hours of sight seeing. The menu had great selection but 3 of us ordered the #1 (special Pho) & the 4th ordered the #42 (shrimp & vegetable Pho). It was super busy & lined up around lunch but tables turn over quickly & we were seated after about 15 mins. The Pho was pretty average. However the service was a bit below par. One of our group wanted a fork & we had to ask no less than 4 times for one. Also, we wanted a tea pot refill & they took away the pot but never returned it until we skied them twice. Pricing was fair for what you got with most dishes around $15. Note they only accept cash so make sure you bring $ or you can always use the ATM next to the till for an exorbitant fee 😆View more
It's my favorite pho place in Montreal! The price is so worth it & delicious!! They give a lot of meat as well! I've come here for over 10 years, & it never disappoints. My only disappointment, however, is due to a young staff that has no manners. I don't particularly mind the person not having steady hands to put the bowls down on the table, but they didn't even apologized when they spilled all over my relative's phone. My family & I were served by this young staff for the past 4 visits this year & the behavior only got worse... Being clumsy is one thing, but surely apologizing should be something everyone should do when they make an evident mistake... at the very least, I hope I get served by the older waiters because of this. Take note that they only accept cash here. If you don't have cash, there is an ATM in the restaurant.View more
They only accept cash, which they don't tell you until you go up to pay. Seriously, who doesn't take cards in 2024? Of course, they have their own no-name ATM right next to the register where you can take out said cash for a service fee of $2.69 (on top of what your own bank charges). The food was pretty good & the service was fast, but in the end I came away feeling like I'd been slightly scammed.View more
If you want to find a place that is cheap & wants to be filled you won't be disappointed. The pho here is good. The only issue I have with the service is that it is cash only, there is an ATM within the restaurant but it has a service charge of $2.65.View more
Many people told me that good pho can be found here & I do like it. For a small sized woman small is good but not super filling, beef came with generous amount. The salt lemonade is pretty refreshing but for personal taste I wished it come with more lemon. One thing to notice is it's a cash money restaurant, if you are a person like me who only bring a 5 dollar cash in wallet, there is a atm inside the restaurant but with extra transaction fee.View more
Good Vietnamese restaurant located in chinatown. Food tastes amazing! We tried few dishes & really love it. The grilled beef on vermicelli & the spring rolls are really good. Feel like eating in Vietnam. The atmosphere is ok. The service is ok. Weve been there few times. But they only accept cash which u should be prepared. But if u dont there is an atm machine.View more
I loved it! The food was great & they were very generous with their portions! I took the vermicelli porc & would definitely recommend it! I loved that they included the taxes in their prices but I was taken aback by their only cash policy. They had an ATM on site for those like me that didn't come prepared. Apart from that, I had a great experience! Even though I stayed a bit after their usual closing time, no one was pushing me out or pressing me to pay the bill. Will definitely come back!View more
the food was amazing & they give big portions. the pho is pretty filling. it's cash only when you pay, so bring cash when you go there! they have an atm machine but it charges you a fee.View more
& vlan!View more
We loved this place a lot. Came every day during our vacation & always had a good time. Friendly & fast service, great food quality & nice prices! We really enjoyed this place. Totally recommend 👍🏽 P.s. take cash with you, they don't accept cards. (There is atm right inside the restaurant)View more
Visiting from San Francisco. Excellent steaming-hot flavorful pho, extremely fast service, complementary hot tea. Cash only, but they do have an ATM onsite. The snow is cold but the pho kept me warm :)View more
