The service was quick. The Pho was delicious & very filling. The chicken was good too.
The rolls were hot too & not cold. The only inconvenience is that they don't take card. Besides that, I would recommend this place.View more
Walked in, held up fingers for how many in our party, & we were seated right away. Tables are two-tops pushed together depending on group size-efficient, no-nonsense setup.
The beef in the pho was excellent-tender, well-cooked-but the broth was forgettable. Not bad, just didn't stand out. My son's chicken & rice plate was clean & filling, but so neutral it could've come from half a dozen different places. No standout seasoning, no distinct flavor.
Cash only, but they did take U.S. dollars & even gave a small discount-so that was a pleasant surprise.
Fast service, decent prices, no big complaints-but nothing special either. If you're nearby & hungry, it'll do. But if you're chasing top-tier pho in Montréal, this isn't the destination.View more
Great pho, great price, good portions, fast service. Only reason it didn't receive 5 stars was because there was nothing extraordinarily unforgettable about the place, &, they only took cash which made things a bit annoying. Bottom line, great pho place, would come again without hesitation.View more
I have been coming here since they used to be a smaller spot a few doors away on the corner of St Laurent & Viger. The food hasn't changed. It's still delicious, fresh, & really well priced. It may be busy, & you may have to wait in line, but it's always reasuring to eat in a place with constant turnover. If you are in Chinatown in Montreal, you have to eat at the Schwartz's of Pho.View more
price to size is ok; broth is so-so, meat portion is good ; Friday they got a special menu, it is not Vietnamese pho;
you have to tips & they write for you, you have no choice, I paid by cash;

Un petit restaurant sans prétention. Service très rapide, entrées bonnes & pho très bon. Un excellent rapport qualité prix!View more
Delicious Pho & spring rolls. Had a small Pho Tai & it was the perfect size for me. The broth was light but so full of flavor, the sprouts & garnishes were super crisp. The lime was extra juicy. Everything was just so fresh & yummy. Perfect for a rainy day, will definitely be back 👍🏻View more
Stopped by on a road trip to Montreal, felt like a popular spot in Chinatown. The service was friendly enough, I realize they were busy for dinner.
We got the chicken & minced pork vermicelli, chicken tonkinese soup/pho, & vegetable vermicelli. The portions & prices were reasonable. The pho broth was flavourful & rich!
Will definitely be coming back!View more
Genuinely the best pho ive tasted (better than the ones Ive had in LA, NYC, & Chicago). Note that it is cash only!
Would recommend to everyone visiting/living in the area. They give so much food too. I would go there when hungry!View more
The food is the worst tasting. The pho tasted like water. The rice was soggy, nuoc mam was watery.View more
Beat value to quantity to quality. Generous with the protein in the pho.View more
I love this Pho place. The price is right, the portions are big & the service is one of the fastest in town. The pho is delicious & the spicy weekend special pho is even better. I almost never have to wait for a table. One of the best spots in Chinatown imo. They have been accommodating of my food restrictions, which I appreciate a lot.
Please note they only take cash but they have an ATM next to the area where you go to pay.View more
The best PHO / Vietnamese food I've had. The look is very low end with a cafeteria like feel & crammed in tables & there is often a lineup to get it. Service is very fast & quality is great. I have been going here & to their old location that was in a now destroyed building across the street since October 2000 - 25years & it is still the same owner & it's been the same waiters for over 10years!View more
I've been to Pho Bang NY 5 times in total & I'll say this, their Pho is off the charts. It's amazing when it's fresh. It has all the perfect blends of flavors & you get it right quick, which means it's piping hot, just the way I like it!
Now the last 3 times a went I wanted the spicy noodle soup, Bun Bo Hu, something I've always wanted to try. Every time I went, until yesterday, they ran out because it's a weekly special. So you can imagine how excited I was when he said they still had some.
Well let me tell you it was the exact opposite of what I would normally get.
They essentially gave me a HUGE BOWL OF TEPID BATHWATER. It was the most bland beef broth with oxtail & flank steak. There was barely any seasoning & no coriander. But the worst part is it's suppose to be SPICY NOODLE SOUP. There was no chili in it at all.
It virtually tasted like eating warm canned consume. I just can't see myself going back after getting served that. It was like they decided to serve me anything because they just wanted my business that day. Normally I'd consider it a one off thing & talk to the server about it but he just disappeared after serving us.
It's really sad because it was really a nice thing to look forward to every second week. I love Pho & now I have to find a new spot.View more
The best place for pho in Chinatown! Their spring rolls are pretty good too! It's worth coming here over & over! 😋View more
Spring rolls are inconsistent. Sometimes they are great, other times they are warm which makes them unappetizing. Plates are generally O.K., large portions, but lack a bit of spices-for my liking. Overall, this pho is O.K., but nothing exceptional to be said, in my opinion.View more
Pho Bang New York is hands down the best spot for authentic Vietnamese pho in Chinatown. As a loyal customer for the past three years, I can confidently say that their quality never wavers-every visit delivers the same delicious, consistent flavors that keep me coming back.
One thing to note is that it's a cash-only establishment, but they do have an ATM inside for convenience (just be aware of the small service fee). Despite this minor inconvenience, the fantastic food & reliable experience make it well worth it.
If you're looking for a no-frills, dependable pho spot in Chinatown, Pho Bang New York is the place to go!View more
The best pho in montreal,
It's payment is cash though, but there is atm machine inside the restaurant.View more
Awesome pho spot, always packed to the brim so you know it is bussView more
If you're from Montreal, you know this is one of the top three pho spots-I'm talking about the broth, which is the most important part of a good pho.
They serve big portions for the price, & the food is fresh & flavorful. Just a heads-up: if you go during rush hour, expect a long lineup. But overall, the place is clean, service is fast, & the pho is definitely worth itView more
Great pho restaurant that isnt too expenisve & a great flavor. Highly reccomend the beef pho.View more
The best pho in the city! Though they only take cashView more
Was debating between this spot & a pub nearby. So glad we went with Pho Bang New York. Was super busy when we showed up & knew it was gonna be amazing right away. Got the grilled chicken & beef & it came in less than 15 minutes. Server was friendly & vibes were up. 10/10 recommend & would come back if i'm ever in MTL againView more
