Come and discover at Petros Restaurant in Lachine the tradition of Greek taverns — authentic cuisine. Sunny, colorful gastronomy enhanced with herbs and spices, and infused with olive oil. Taverne Petros has created a menu based on Greek market cuisine, featuring fresh fish and grilled dishes.
Petros Taverne Grecque is described as a vibrant Greek dining experience with flavors that shine in seafood and traditional dishes such as octopus, calamari, tzatziki, saganaki, pikilia, moussaka, and whole sea bass, though some diners call it expensive for the portion sizes. The atmosphere is repeatedly praised for its elegant decor, sunny terrace, and authentic Greek ambiance, making guests feel transported and comfortable. Service is generally noted as attentive and friendly, with many reviews highlighting a welcoming staff that enhances the meal, while a few busy nights mention slower pacing. The restaurant’s BYOB policy and the option of private rooms or a patio seating area add to its appeal for celebrations and group dinners. Overall the consensus leans toward one of the top Greek dining options in Montreal, with high-quality food, generous flavor profiles, and a memorable, hospitable atmosphere that invites a return visit, particularly for seafood lovers.
Nous sommes allés 4 personnes. Pris menu dégustation avec poulet, saucisses & porc. TOUT était délicieux. Les calamars étaient d'une tendreté extraordinaire. Le décor & la vaisselle sont fantastique. On se croirait en Grèce. Les serveurs sont dévoués & sympathiques.
Le dessert (louks) est fabuleux.
Amazing food, well worth trying it. Plus Wonderful service & wonderful environment. Especially, we really appreciate the service of Mr. Lipton, who is really a good listener & always makes sure everything is okay.

My friend Orly & I dined at Petros on aril, 28th, 2025 (the day of the federal election) The food (Greek salad plus lamb chops with steamed, sauteed vegetables was just delicious & the service was fantastic. I can't remember the name of our waiter but when we were talking, he did mention that he was from Muscat, Oman on the Persian Gulf.
he was really friendly, just a great guy. We will be back to your restaurant soon. We loved the nice bright dining with its view of the Lachine canal locks. Until next time, Randall-Kenneth Grant, Dorval, Qc
We go to many restaurants & found the price for value very very high. Starters were $20-$35 & mains were $38-$55. Price points extremely high for Greek food vs other Greek restaurants. They up the price significantly to compensate for BYOB but not worth it. The food was nice but really not worth the price.
Absolutely fantastic, the plating, the service, the food quality, the selection... We came for my Mom's birthday & every person in our party was extremely satisfied. We started with the'pikilia' plate to share (fantastic!), & mains included filet mignon brochette, moussaka, & broiled cod (of all the dishes, this was my absolute favorite!) Our server, Lipon, was also wonderful, very warm & inviting, very helpful with menu suggestions as well. The portions were all generous, & the sides (potatoes & veg) were perfect. We will definitely be coming back!
