Petros Taverne Grecque offers a warm Greek dining experience with consistently good food and excellent service, drawing praise for a welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff that help guests feel at home, while the menu shines with tender seafood and grilled specialties such as octopus and filet mignon brochette; some reviews call the price high for the portions, but many note generous servings and tasty favorites, and the BYOB option plus a pleasant terrace add to the overall appeal; birthdays and group dinners are described as memorable occasions and the experience is often described as charming and authentic, with portions, flavor and service contributing to a strong invitation to return.
We enjoyed a delicious meal. Quality is consistent with the Westmount location. We had the fried eggplant & Zucchini & a grilled tenter white fish which was done to perfection.
Probably the best place to enjoy seafood on a beautiful terrace in montreal. My husband & I enjoyed some really fresh fish. Special thanks to our waiter Lipon who was extra nice, with a beautiful warm smile, interesting chat & a friendly attitude. We are sure to be back.

it was late night, we were hungry & looking for a restaurant near by. Seing the sign that says greek restaurant we decided to have a try, it is bring-your-own-wine type of place ( but since it was a last minute stop we didn't had any with us) First of all, the place is gorgeous, it was all that greek vibe interior. it was an hour before closing time so there weren't many people left. As for the prices in the menu, it wasn't the typical affordable greek place but its ok we thought it might be worth trying type of greek restaurant. our waiter was super friendly & all, he even tried to sell us their best selling dishes ( which were the most expensives one ranging from 30-60$) looking at their many options we chose a fish dish & pork chop dish. To be honest, I would've chosen another plate since my fish dish was just ok. Fresh yes but missing flavors ( to my taste, maybe for others they might like it better) my husband took a porkchop dish which the meat was tender & delicious... why only four star? once they served us with food, the waiters were busy cleaning, so we didnt get the service for the price we paid for. for a last minute drop by & having to pay a bill of $170 wasn't nice. ( tips & tax included) But i still recommend them since they have great food, & perfect for those lovely couples who wants a romantic date ;)
Last night my friend & I went back to Petros Lachine for the first time in over a year. The first time we walked in with a bottle of wine, thinking it was the same as the other Petros restaurants we had been to. But it wasn't, we were told we would not be able to drink our bottle, this Petros was not BYOB. Fair enough, we ordered a bottle & paid $60 for something we could have gotten at the SAQ for $20. Last night we walked in empty handed. Our waiter, Lipon, came to serve us promptly, he was courteous, knowledgeable & helpful throughout the evening, but no wine list & only an offer of water, flat or sparkling. Turns out they have now become a BYOB! Oh well, nothing wrong with a dry night every once in a while. We did point out to Lipon though that their website still says they are licensed. The food is still excellent: we had the Petros Special (zucchini chips with tzatziki), which was very good & very filling for two old guys. For mains we each had a fresh grilled fish, sea bass for me, & porgy for my friend. Also both excellent, & decent portions. The accompanying vegetables, rice & Greek potatoes were also done very well, which is something these restaurants often fall down on. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but it is not outrageous either! One gets pretty good value for the money. The place is looking & feeling a bit rundown though, which one doesn't really expect at this price point.
The pace is quite well done & is inviting. We were 4 with a mother's day reservation. We were told our 2 large orders came with asparagus & eggplant but none were available. When ordering $200+ combos ti share that is not acceptable to have replaced these with peppers & zucchini. The fish was overcooked as was the steak as we ordered medium & it was well done. The food was ok but overpriced for the quality. Maybe don't go on a special occasion but on a non busy day where you may get what you ordered. Service was good.
It was our first time at Petros. Our visit was to the Lachine location. It was a great location & atmosphere. The grilled octopus was good but we have had better but still pleasing. My grilled fish was excellent. It saved the day! The moussaka my son had was also outstanding. I was disappointed with the skordalia (greek potato dip). It was sticky & not enough garlic. Our server was very pleasant & attentive although she seemed rushed. One side dish was forgotten but we did not say anything. Seems to be hit & miss & very pricey for the quality. I think it could benefit from having more staff.
Service was absolutely excellent. Food (fish dishes) very good. Somewhat pricey ... however given what is happening these days with food costs, may be within the norm.

Food was very good. Fish perfectly cooked. Salad fresh & tasty, well seasoned. Service was very good except that appetizers & mains came at same time.
Somewhat pricey.
