This spot is a true hidden gem for authentic Arabic sweets. The flavors are traditional & delicious - just like in the Middle East. The pastry chef & staff are warm, kind, & welcoming, always offering free tastings so you can pick your favorites. They also make customized birthday cakes, which are both beautiful & tasty. Prices are very fair for the quality you get. From baklava to maamoul to knafeh, everything is made with care & presented perfectly. I highly recommend this place!
Update 24Jan2026: still highly recommend. Great spot in Laval.
Number one in Arabic sweets 🌷our place to restore flavours of our countries
Everything is tasty especially baklwa ,maamul & knafeh 🔥
Staff are always kind & welcoming & do their best service
'If you run a dessert shop & every time we come you say the mabruma is sold out, that's really not good for your business. A sweet shop should have its most popular desserts available.'
I stumbled upon this bakery a few years ago, & I've been coming back every year since, always ordering either baklava or beinarein.
I love how the baklava is always fresh & not overly sweet. It has a lot of flavor. I'm not even going to try to name my favorites because honestly, I don't remember the names, I just recognize them visually. But overall, I've liked the majority of what I've tried.
If I had to make a suggestion, I'd say skip Adonis & come here for your baklava instead. I used to order from Adonis, but when I compare the two, Al Sham is so much better. The quality at Adonis just doesn't compare.
So if you're already on the hunt for baklava, just get it from here. You'll save yourself the trouble.
Lovely authentic Arabic sweet place. Excellent taste & friendly staff ✨
Best service, super kind & amazing taste. Their sweets are delicious & cakes are just perfect!
The Arabic sweets are okay, I'd give them 6 out of 10. The service was a bit slow, but the place is clean & the taste is fine. Prices are higher than what you get for the quality
Service is good & they offer a wide variety of products. I usually visit this place from time to time & it was ok.
The reason for the 4 stars is the taste of the Bein El Narein. It's supposed to be Achta, but this time it tasted more like old cheese. Maybe I just got a bad batch?
That being said, if you are looking for Syrian/Lebanese sweets, I'd recommend giving this place a try.
Note: The product was consumed within 30 minutes of purchasing it from the store.
Absolutely the Best Arabic Patisserie Around!
This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves authentic Arabic sweets. The taste is truly traditional - just like what you'd find in the Middle East, & especially Syria. Every bite takes you back home. The textures, the flavors, the presentation - everything is perfect. Whether you're craving baklava, maamoul, or knafeh, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for real, high-quality Arabic-style desserts!
One of the best oriental sweets in Laval & Montreal. Reasonable prices, parking available, good & quick services. Highly recommended !
