This is the pasta restaurant I've been dreaming of & that comes closest to the authentic homemade pasta that I had in Italy. We skipped the appetizers so that we could try all three of the daily pastas: spaghettoni al ragù d'anatra (thicker spaghetti with a ground duck sauce), casoncelli mantovani (pasta stuffed with squash & coated in a brown butter sage sauce), & ricotta gnocchis in a parmesan & pomodoro sauce (they were like little pillows!). Each pasta dish was cooked to perfection with the right texture & the right balance of flavours. I debated reordering the casoncelli mantovani but refrained since I was trying to be responsible!
We finished the meal with the tiramisu, which we agreed was the best we had ever eaten.
Beautiful wine selection & the service was also really great. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really vibrant, maybe a little too loud for our tastes but totally acceptable given the excellent experience overall. The prices were VERY reasonable for the quality of the meal. I can't wait to return.
Pates vraiment délicieuses, coup de coeur pour le ragu de canard. Pas d'attente un samedi enneigé vers midi.
Pasta al ragu. Gnocchi. Tout fut incroyable. À la hauteur de toute la'hype'. En plus ambiance chaleureuse & conviviale. Je recommande fortement.
3 rotating handmade pastas, a few antipasti, & a really good cheese steak. Unparalleled hipster mullets & a pretty decent soundtrack of indie hits. Unbelievably delicuous.
J'avais hâte de l'essayer, j'ai pris le spaghettoni al ragù d'anatra. Le plat est 27$ plus les taxes & le pourboire, ce qui m'est revenu à environ 35,90$. Je ne sais pas si c'est moi qui a été malchanceuse, mais la portion était vraiment petite pour le prix. J'ai l'impression que les portions semblent plus grosses au restaurant que la formule take out selon les photos que j'ai vu. Bref, j'aurais bien voulu avoir un coup de coeur, mais je ne recommande pas, malgré que ce soit bon.
Absolutely scrumptious! I had the cheesesteak, & I've had some in Philadelphia. I never thought I'd find a better one in a Canadian city. It will always be my go-to restaurant when I'm in town.
Tried to go twice. Got almost laughed at for trying to get a table. Seriously guys, the food looks amazing but service is also important
