Afficher toutpasta(107) pates(38) ravioli(22) wine(18) gnocchi(16) fresh(15) qualite(11) hype(11) sandwich(11) salad(9) vin(9) quality(9)The food is delicious. Pasta as it would be in a very good trattoria in Italy. What does not work at all is the price, that is outrageous. 55 dollars (with taxtes & tip) for a bowl of ricotta-spinach ravioli & a tiny glass of natural wine, you know the one that looks like pineapple juice & tastes worse. In fact the wine list is insanely priced & utterly hip, as if this was a Michelin-starred joint, run by a dude fom Williamsburg. In fact you just ate at the bar, perched on a stool, & looking at the wall. Avoid the place, save some money & try to visit Bologna instead.
Hit & miss but overall doesn't live up to the hype. We had 2 antipasti: veal tongue was great BUT stracciatella +'seasonal veggies'(2 small spoonfuls of stracciatella, a sad log of undercooked leek & 2 pickled garlic) was an absolute joke for 20$. Seriously, shame on whoever thought about putting that on the menu.
Butternut squash ravioli was excellent but definitely overpriced for the portion size (25$ for 6 ravioli if I remember correctly). Ragu was good but nothing to write home about, & also expensive for the small serving.
Decent but won't be returning.
Pasta Pooks in Montréal is absolutely delicious. The food is first rate & well worth the visit. The space is small, though they are expanding, which will be welcome given how popular it is.
We shared the fried zucchini flower to start, followed by the bean salad, pesto gnocchi, & spinach ricotta ravioli. Every dish was excellent. We sat at the counter , staff was really friendly .We waited about thirty minutes for a spot, but it was absolutely worth it for such outstanding food.
Im very disappointed by this place. First, the place is very small & loud so I suggest you the take out. The service is very slow, we wait almost 30min for our take out outside & they forgot our order & didn't mentioned it at all. The pricing is very very high & I would have expected a bit more quality for the service. Concerning the food, it was ok, the tiramisu & the bred antipasti was very good but the Ravioli & Bolognese was missing of flavors. & again, when you see the pricing it's pretty high for what is it especially when the portions are that small. Doesn't really worth the hype, I won't go back.
Great ravioli with spinach!
I would suggest a bit less salt.
& lower the music. Seems too loud for the size of the place.
Other than those 2 things, it's a great place!!
We drove from Toronto & will come back just for this pasta!!
waited for a table about 10 mins for 2 around 9pm on a saturday night. pasta was so good & green salad, especially the dressing. ravioli melts in the mouth & the bolognese has a great flavour. awesome wine & kind service
This restaurant is on another level-the dishes are made in-house with incredible attention to quality & freshness. The ingredients were top-tier, the flavours were layered & bold without being overwhelming-just the way real Italian food should be.
The ravioli was absolute perfection-& the gnocchi was melt in your mouth delicious.
Having grown up with an Italian grandmother, I truly appreciated the unique, thought out selection of entrees. I've been to plenty of Italian restaurants, but here I found dishes I'd never seen before-creative & inspired takes, rooted in tradition, not trend.
& then came dessert. My boyfriend & I shared the panna cotta & tiramisu. No exaggeration-it was the best tiramisu & panna cotta we had ever had! The layers, the texture, the balance of flavours was exquisite.
A special shout out to Emma & Margaux for providing warm & attentive service. It made the experience even more memorable.
Hands down, the best place for fresh pasta in the city. If you love fresh, quality Italian dishes made with heart-check out Pasta Pooks.
A very casual, small pasta shop that focuses on producing homemade high-quality pasta dishes. It's a nice addition to Montreal's Little Italy neighbourhood. The menu is very limited with only 3-4 pasta choices, & I wasn't able to order the gnocchis for takeout for some reason. But I was able to find a dish I liked, the spinach ricotta ravioli. Which to be honest, was absolutely delicious & quite filling that it literally melts in your mouth! However, in general, I think the portions are on the smaller side because the restaurant seems to be focused on the quality of ingredients. I would go back again since they seem like they switch up their menu every few months, but I was disappointed the outdoor patio wasn't available when I went to the restaurant. Therefore, it might be better to order takeout since the restaurant has limited counter seats & can get quite cramped during the busy hours. I recommend eating at the nearby Little Italy Park, as there are tables available.
Ravioli was a 10/10 - soo good & perfectly filled! You get to actually taste the flavour of the ricotta & spinach filling because there is a generous amount inside. Probably one of the most delicious pasta I've ever had!
Good food, but their service & atmosphere need vast improvements. We got told the waiting time for a table was roughly 30m, & that we must stay in the establishment to wait for a table as they don't take phone numbers, & that if they call our names for a table & we're not there it will immediately go to the next person in line. We ended up waiting more than 1h30 mins for a table. It smelled like sewage & the bathroom sink was broken. In the meantime, the servers were leaving the patio to stand on the street smoking & chatting with their friends, leaving the patio completely unattended. By the time we were seated it took 15 minutes to get a rundown of the menu, which the support staff gave as the server wasn't by her post (the support staff was lovely & amazing however!!!!!). Our glasses were also never filled as the servers were absent. We didn't want to order apps or dessert as we couldn't afford to spend more time waiting, but the ravioli & gnocci were phenomenal. I don't think I would go again because of the experience, which is a shame as the food was truly great.
Been there for my birthday with my boyfriend 🎊🥳 The raviolis are too die for they are the best i ever ate in a restaurant i give them a 12/10!!! So good you will get addicted. Will go back again for sure.
1000/10 best pasta i've had in montreal so far. LOVE the ravioli & the tagliatelle. they're just so so fresh & flavourful the first bite seriously blew my mind, i didn't know i could like a pasta dish this much. gnocchi was rly good too in itself but the other two just stole the show. then the cheesesteak was just ok for me
+ super friendly service but very small space with not many seats right now but i think they're planning to expand?
