The best pasta plates in Montreal, no question about it.
The simplicity done right, in the freshness of the pasta, to the flare in the sauces, makes this restaurant the only Italian restaurant worth eating at.
Had the best time on the terrace this summer! The pasta was unreal, felt like fine dining but with that cozy, local vibe. Great wine list too. Definitely a spot I'd go back to :)
The pasta was amazing! The service was great, & they had some great wine recommendations. However, the terrace was filled with bees. I guess it's the time of year.
Not bad, but not great. I can see the appeal in the concept, but feels like it felt victim to it's hype. Had big expectations as a lot of people said it's the best pasta they've eaten, but in my opinion there's much better spots for pasta in the area & in Montreal in general. Prices are also kinda crazy for what you get.
I feel it's overpriced for what you get. Spent a little over $40 for an average ragout pasta with a side of green beans.
Pasta is good kinda expensive considering portion-price but maybe a nice thing once in a while
Great ravioli with spinach!
I would suggest a bit less salt.
& lower the music. Seems too loud for the size of the place.
Other than those 2 things, it's a great place!!
We drove from Toronto & will come back just for this pasta!!
Bon, simple gourmand & bien conseillé par une star prénommée Margaux.
Ptite panacota pour bien finir le repas!
Pasta Pooks all the way!!
In general, had a bummer of an experience.
Waited 35 minutes from getting there to getting the food. I had ordered for takeout because there weren't any seats available around the counter. (Turns out there's additional seating around which would have been pleasant to know.) Paid about 60$ including tax & tip.
Here's where things went wrong.
It was around 6pm & they were already out of one of the three pasta dishes & couldn't do another one to go (seemed odd for a counter concept). So, I had one option + an extra off menu one. I ordered both available options. Waited 20 some minutes to receive the food but one of the pastas was missing. So I went back, to find out that that one item had never been punched. Mistakes happen, maybe the guy at the counter misheard me or whatever. In my eyes, the staff members seemed unbothered & unapologetic though. So overall I had: 25$ for a pasta, 14$ for a zucchini flower appetizer & 7$ for a bottle of water, 15% tax & 15% tip.
The food was okay but not worth the price. The 3 fried zucchini flowers were fried but not stuffed & served with mayo. They were fairly bland. Same for the pasta; very small portion for 25$ & bland once again.
Generally, there is a lot of room for improvement in the ordering process & for the food itself. But I personally will not be back, which is unfortunate because I'd been wanting to try the food for a while now.
waited for a table about 10 mins for 2 around 9pm on a saturday night. pasta was so good & green salad, especially the dressing. ravioli melts in the mouth & the bolognese has a great flavour. awesome wine & kind service
Tout était au top, les pastas sont magnifiques, le sandwich aussi & les dessert trop bon également. Je recommande 👌
This restaurant is on another level-the dishes are made in-house with incredible attention to quality & freshness. The ingredients were top-tier, the flavours were layered & bold without being overwhelming-just the way real Italian food should be.
The ravioli was absolute perfection-& the gnocchi was melt in your mouth delicious.
Having grown up with an Italian grandmother, I truly appreciated the unique, thought out selection of entrees. I've been to plenty of Italian restaurants, but here I found dishes I'd never seen before-creative & inspired takes, rooted in tradition, not trend.
& then came dessert. My boyfriend & I shared the panna cotta & tiramisu. No exaggeration-it was the best tiramisu & panna cotta we had ever had! The layers, the texture, the balance of flavours was exquisite.
A special shout out to Emma & Margaux for providing warm & attentive service. It made the experience even more memorable.
Hands down, the best place for fresh pasta in the city. If you love fresh, quality Italian dishes made with heart-check out Pasta Pooks.
A very casual, small pasta shop that focuses on producing homemade high-quality pasta dishes. It's a nice addition to Montreal's Little Italy neighbourhood. The menu is very limited with only 3-4 pasta choices, & I wasn't able to order the gnocchis for takeout for some reason. But I was able to find a dish I liked, the spinach ricotta ravioli. Which to be honest, was absolutely delicious & quite filling that it literally melts in your mouth! However, in general, I think the portions are on the smaller side because the restaurant seems to be focused on the quality of ingredients. I would go back again since they seem like they switch up their menu every few months, but I was disappointed the outdoor patio wasn't available when I went to the restaurant. Therefore, it might be better to order takeout since the restaurant has limited counter seats & can get quite cramped during the busy hours. I recommend eating at the nearby Little Italy Park, as there are tables available.
beautiful, cozy & laid back atmosphere. Service is quick & pasta is so fresh! Best bolognese in montreal
Super small place. Cozy but tight. Slightly overpriced but great great pasta. Must try if you're unconcerned about getting $25-30 pasta.
Seriously, charging over $20 for a Bolognese & still serving clumpy powdered parmesan should be criminal. The ragù is overly acidic-likely from going overboard with the red wine-& the pasta falls apart easily when I lift it with a fork. By the time I finished, the plate was just scattered with broken bits. It feels like the pasta dough wasn't kneaded properly, way too hydrated, & lacking gluten development. Overall, the whole thing gives off more of a hobby project vibe than something ran by professional chefs.
Reaaaally disappointed with this place. First of all the place is tiny & can sit max like 8 people? So they know that most of the customers are going to ask for take out. From the 3 pasta choices, I asked for the gnocchi & they told me they don't do it as take out ?! So I was left with 2 options only. We took both of them & it was really underwhelming to say the least. Portion was super small too for the price. Service was not great at all either. Let's say I won't go out of my way to eat from this place again.
